The instant I heard Polo whimpering Winter’s name, I knew that she had to be hurt. Alex quickly howled, initiating the war and soon a few warriors were running our way.
I told my mate to go check on her and make sure that she was okay. Right now, we outnumbered them, so I was sure that we would be fine while she was gone.
As soon as I kissed her, she teleported with Ruby just in time to miss the warriors from this pack reach our first line of defense. The snarls and growls echoed through the whole forest as hundreds of wolves started fighting for their lives.
Raf and I were still in our human form, trying to kill as many before shifting. The first line of defense gave the second group time to shift before more warriors reached them.
