*Xander’s POV*
“Hey Oliver, wait up!” I yelled after my friend, making him quickly turn to face me.
“Hey.” He replied sadly. Ever since we came back from the alpha meeting, he has been depressed or something.
“Are you ready to talk or will I have to beat it out of you?” I joked. He nodded and led me over to some fallen trees by the border.
He inhaled sharply before facing me again. “She found her mate.” He said abruptly, making me blink a few times as I processed everything.
“Winter?” I asked in shock.
I hope this wasn’t why Reina has been pushing us away. We’ve barely had any alone time in the last few days and every time I’ve asked for sēx, she has rejected me with different excuses.
“Of course, Winter.” He replied as he rolled his eyes.
