  Chapter 25 May 2021 Johnny rung up the purchase for the customer, just in time for the front door to open and bring more people. He handed her the book. “Hope you enjoy it.” “Thanks for the recommendation.” The sixtyish woman wearing the straw hat, whose name Johnny couldn’t remember, placed her reading glasses in her purse, and smiled. “And it was good seeing you again.” “Thanks, and maybe we’ll see each other at the next lecture at the Morse Museum.” Some of the new arrivals were checking out the books in the front display. The arts festival drew a diverse crowd. But they mostly dressed alike with a few exceptions. It seemed everyone shopped at Ralph Lauren, Ann Taylor Loft, Lacoste, or Dillard’s. The door opened again. The street noise had increased and so had the foot traffic
