Chapter 11The charter boat came with its own captain, a man from the Caribbean named Maurice. The entire time they were at sea—or rather, just off the coastline—he narrated their quest. “On this adventure,” he began, “I want you to think back to the historic departure of the Blue Canyon boat and its sailor who left his newly pregnant wife for the high seas. Of course, this story will not end the way we like it to. But do not fear, I am here to keep you safe.”
