Chapter 2: My way of Doing it.

Now, even though I declare this area is really safe... It's because the ruin provide a lot of cover. So nothing can really see you or smell you because if you are smart... You can camouflage your body with the surrounding and take cover behind the ruins...
The monster around here aren't smart. Just like many others, they haven't evolve to have a fully functioning mind... They can only do it by their instinct. And it's not enough to go against a fully fledged human...
I put down my bag and then reach into the bag... I take out two bird shape golem and then put on a goggles...
"Fuuh... Serene Mind."
I activate my skill called Serene Mind. Serene Mind is a Skill that used by people to clear their mind. People overlooked this skill ability. This allows you to do anything calmly and act rationally...
And with Serene Mind. I can think as clear as the open sky... And with that, I can control two different Golem and see through two different vision at the same time. What human thinks is hard is easy for me...
The Golem started flying around the Ruins for me. The strategy is to make a square around the entire Ruin... And then, make the golem to go the opposite way of each other until they meet at the middle.
The plan sounded simple. But if you told that to the public. They will think you as a Crazy person. Because doing that will potentially fry your eyes along with your brain... And it's not possible to switch between Golem either. So people can't make it stay afloat in the sky while they look through other golem...
After a couple of hours of checking every little nooks and cranny of the area. I can confidently say that this area is safe to stay for the night... And it seems like there's an inhabited house that is still standing...
And I check it using my Golem and there's nothing strange inside as well. So I can safely say that I can go there for the night...
I grab my Golem back and then put it back to my bag... I don't know what time it is. But it's still late in the afternoon. It's yet to reach evening... With that in my mind...
I bolted straight into that certain building. The moment it reaches Evening... The real battle started.. The battle for survival is not easy in Rhea... There's a lot of monster inside... But for some reason, I can't shake this feeling of excitement!
I reach the Empty Building and goes into the building... There are no doors or windows. But that's enough for staying the night.
But before I can actually set up camps... I need to quickly make something...
I grab a couple pieces of steel rod and then assemble them into 3 long steel rod... And with that... I put one at the Door, and then the rest near the window. It's the only way of something to get in and out...
Now, This is called the Rod of Lyssa. Rod of Lyssa is a safety equipment that I specifically made for expedition like this. It has two main effects. First, it lures in beast with really sharp blood smell. And then, They started licking the Rod, thinking that it's food...
But it's not. The moment they came in contact with Rod of Lyssa. Doesn't matter where. Their fur, their limbs, any part of their body...
It sends an electric shocks into their body... Paralyzing their body in an instant... After a couple of minutes... The second effect of Lyssa appear...
The Rage State... Anything that touches Lyssa, will enter a state of Rage... They will see Rod of Lyssa as a Massive Threat... If they touch Lyssa once again, they will be killed.
Hence, to suppress their rage, they kill each other... And in the end... The strongest lives on... But at that stage... The wound that they suffer is already fatal that they will die in a couple of minutes...
"Preparation completed... Now I can rest easy..."
With Great mind, come great things... I feel like that is specifically true for me... I fight with my brain a lot of the time... I don't have the perfect physique to fight. So I invent stuffs to help me fight...
This Rod of Lyssa is actually a failure of something far greater that I've yet to use... I don't have the chance to use it though because I classify it as Legendary Equipment... I'm honestly ashamed to say this, but I get the inspiration to making that legendary equipment that I never use from a Blacksmith... A Famous blacksmith that once lived in the era of Rhea... That Blacksmith name is unknown. But he goes by the name 'WIC'. So yeah, I must say that WIC is one of those people that influence the way I make stuff... But anyway...
"Well, since I'm here already... I guess I just need to set up my heater and sleeping bag..."
Of course, I have a Portable Heater that uses the Magic in the air as power... And for Sleeping bag... It's made from the greatest wool that sheep can produce. I actually steal this sleeping bag from a good farm. Because I help them shear some sheep with my stuff... But they refuses to pay me. So I stole it...
"Aaah.... This is nice and comfortable..."
Now here's come problem... I have no food, but a lot of water... I'm starving as heck! I forgot to pick more fruits back in the outskirts! And I can't go back out because I've set the Rod of Lyssa already... If I touch it, I will pass out for a couple of hours...
For safety measure... I made Rod of Lyssa effects to human really small... The Rod of Lyssa is a timer, essentially. Once you turn it on, it will keep the effects for a couple of hours... Maximum of 5 Hours... Now, I have three rod of Lyssa activated. They're linked with each other, giving a maximum of 15 hours of effect before it turns off...
"I need at least one of the Rod to deactivate so that I can de-link the Rods and force them to deactivate...."
Yes... I need to wait at least 5 hours before I can go out again... Well, that's fine though...
"Serene Mind."
Once again, I calm my mind to lessened the effect of the hunger and just close my eyes... It's cold, as expected... But the sleeping bag is pretty warm, and the warmer also warm my body up...
So it feels super comfortable... Now, Come the hardest part... Trying to fall asleep while ignoring the howl of other monster...
