I blinked severally as I stared ahead, hoping he didn't notice how red my cheeks had turned. When we figured the rain wasn't anywhere ready to stop, Kai took my hands
I didn't even have time to blush as he took me out of the shade- we both ran to the car where Charles was waiting.
"Mom, are you okay?" He asked
"I'm fine," I replied with a smile; Kai tossed a towel to me without a word as he started the car- driving out of the picnic center.
I was picking my nails anxiously- deafening silence filled the car, Kai's focus was on the road, and Charles had fallen asleep already. I tried to control my shivering body, but it wasn't working- I was cold, I gripped the towel that was around my shoulder tighter
