Ch-1 Beginning of Trials
Emergency alarms were going off as two people battered at the center of the room, their faces clearly showing their fear as they looked at the things that were slowly walking towards them.
They were short and had golden eyes. Their body color was the same as the dark green color of palm leaves.
They were the creatures that were not supposed to exist in the real world, Goblins.
“What are we going to do now, Riam? It looks like we are surrounded. You need to leave without me…” said the girl in the room. Her leg was stuck under the fallen debris.
“We’ll figure something out, I am not gonna leave you behind Hedya, you are my little sister, I promised mom and dad that I would protect you” said her older brother Riam, still trying to get the debris off her.
“Please leave me behind elder brother they are coming toward us” said her sister, weeping seeing the goblins walking towards them.
“No, a family always sticks together because a family is not an important thing but everything” Riam replied firmly, sticking to his belief, “I’ll protect you”.
As the band of goblins was walking towards them, almost reaching and stabbing their daggers into Riam and Hedya’s flesh with a torturous intent.
Riam was standing on his ground strongly with a baseball bat in his hand, ready to strike, but both of them knew that a baseball won’t even scratch these monsters.
As the goblins reached him, they tried to attack the and plunged a dagger into Riam’s arm but the with sheer will of protecting his sister Riam swinged is bat really hard almost rupturing the skull of one goblin but unfortunately he wasn’t enough to handle four goblins together.
He was still trying, but goblins were constantly thrusting their daggers into him, and he had lost a lot of blood. He was on the brink of unconsciousness as he saw those monsters moving towards his sister.
He was still trying to move, but he couldn’t and as those goblins were almost ready to kill his sister, a spear came flying and pierced the heart of a goblin.
The rest of the group became alert and stepped back from Riam’s sister. Suddenly everything became dark and even Riam was not able to see anything. Then he saw a glimpse of golden eyes, and before he could see who it was, sounds of goblins crying in pain came. Slowly, the sounds became loud as if someone was torturing the goblins, but then the darkness slowly vanished, and he saw an old man in his mid 50’s wearing a black coat carrying a sword His eyes were bright golden, and he had grey hair.
“You survived for a pretty long time, kiddo!! I am impressed, wanna become my student?” the old man said in his husky but comfortable voice.
“So what is your decision?”
