TWO At what the man said, my knee weakened as fear completely subdued me. What does this man need from me and that’s just how much he wants to kill my poor self. He took the sharp weapon at his side. It looked like a samurai. What do I really know about the type of weapon? Even with different kinds of kitchen knives, I didn't know what's more about swords? Even though my system was shaking, I took a step faster. "I don't know why you want to kill me, before doing it can I request?" I almost had a hard time getting the words out of my mouth. Only one is running in my brain. Run. A word is hard to do at this time. I don’t have a self-defense device other than my book and a shuriken stuck in my book. How will this shuriken be used? If only I had joined the said assassin's training that Shackie built a year ago for people who want to be assassins. If I had joined then I might have been able to defend myself. The man who approached me had said nothing. His eyes glowing red. Vampire? If he's a so-called vampire, he must turn himself into having sharp pointed fangs and sharp hand nails with a somewhat not-so-nice look. In this case, the weird guy I can't name what kind he is and if this is just a prank. "I didn't think I would find the woman I was looking for here. With a body of every single student in several hundred schools in the Philippines. I did not anticipate that within two days I had found my target?" he said in a monotone. "What do you need from me? Why not give me an answer to clear my confused mind?" I tried to raise my voice but there was trembling and tingling on it. "You." The smirk disappeared from his cracked lips. My two eyes widened when in a flash he was in front of me. The frightening sheen of the weapon is near my neck. My throat went dry and my heart stopped beating for a moment. This isn't happening, right? In an instant, I'm facing my demise without knowing why. I felt the flow of cold sweat on my forehead and my neck looked sweaty as well as my armpits. I stared into his eyes. Even with just looking into those eyes I feel like I'm being dragged to death. Gradually my hands and knees shook. If I move even a little I may lose my head. Worst of all. Even if I don't move, I will suffer the same. A bitter smile escaped my mouth. I won't die like this without fighting for my life. I'd rather die fighting than do nothing. Insanity, Two. I took the shuriken from the book and stabbed it in his side, shocked at what I did. He stepped back two meters from me holding the bleeding side with his left hand. "You bastard!" His angry voice indulged the pain of what I had done. I need to escape here. I looked to the right and secretly smiled when I saw a back door and run in the direction of the door. Before I could get close, the man blocked the door. "You cannot escape, dear princess. The past three years that you have escaped from our hands will never be repeated." His scary voice is like a psycho being released in the mental asylum. What is this madman saying? I feel like I'm in a dream and I'm still asleep. I sighed. After what happened, I can't conclude it as a daymare. I knew in my heart that what was happening today was true. "Stop telling me that I'm a princess, we're not in London right now. We are here in the Philippines," I told him, 'cause he doesn't make sense. He straightened up with a raw laugh in his mouth. Confirm! This guy is crazy, a madman, and a psycho. "Look at this, do you think I'll be taken to your drama, princess? Hmmm ... You can't fool me." He raised the sword he was holding and made it glare the moment the sunlight hit it. I close my eyes for a moment at the sudden hit of light and opening my eyes, I see him approaching me. It was as if I were frozen on the stand and just let the sharp sword stab me in my chest. "Move down, girl!" shouted a female voice that I do not seem to be where it comes from. Nothing in my body followed what the female voice said. My eyes widened looking at the fallen body of the man, three steps away in front of me. The man's eyes were narrowed and his back was bloody like a sharp object cut into an S shape in the man's back. Who can— "Are you okay, Girl?" worried the woman's voice. I looked at the school shoes of the girl approaching me. I slowly lifted my eyes until I could see her face. A brown woman with long hair, blue eyes like the ocean covered with thick round white glass — wait, the woman in front of me was the one Shackie and Hajin helped in the cafeteria. "I'm fine," I lied. The trembling of my hands does not want to end. She nodded and I didn’t expect her to hold my hand. "Everything's fine," she said with a wide smile on her lips. My eyes went to his I.D. Lynn Ara D. Fergan. I read the black bold letter at the bottom of her picture. D might stand for Daziel because earlier in the cafeteria I wasn't wrong when I heard Shackie say that she was her cousin. "What did you do—" I was interrupted. Seeing that the man's body is gradually becoming fluid. "That one who will get you is a Garachsian, you know what that is?" I turned my attention to the woman who looked serious staring at me. Garaksyan? I frowned at the thought of what she mentioned. Maybe, it's a Greek mythological creature? "Is that a mythical creature?" I said in an unsure tone. Dodge both her eyebrows at the same time as shaking her head. It looks like I answered wrong. Garaksiyan? I've never heard of it but it seems I know it before. Where? When? "Never mind," she commented and stood up, "I don't know why there's a Garachsian at school, weird..." I raised both palms to stand up. I shook the dust off my skirt and when I was able to touch my right arm I was shocked when I felt my hand wet. "You have a wound," Lynn said looking at my right arm. I looked at the arm and saw that I had a large wound. Why didn’t I notice earlier? I immediately felt worse with the amount of blood on the right long sleeve of my blouse. I covered the wound with my cold hand. I felt the throbbing pain I never felt a while ago. "You need medicine to fix your wound, let's go to the infirmary." She came next to me and I didn’t expect her to put her blue handkerchief on my wound. She wrapped the blue thing around my wound before tying it. "Are you fine for a walk? Maybe you'll lose consciousness just a few steps away," her voice was tinged with worry. "I can do it, don't worry. I can handle myself." "MISS Abragan, next time don't be careless, see what happened? You were injured. Alas! When Laila finds out, she will definitely faint with great worry," Nurse Angie sermonized me, my mommy's cousin. I nodded in response to what she was saying as I rolled my eyeball, I was inside the infirmary. The wall was painted in white and even the interior. When Lynn and I arrived at the infirmary recently, she left me immediately, saying she still has important things to do. "You don't have any plans to tell mommy, Aunt Ann, do you?" I hope so, I don't want to preach with two mouths again when I get home. I didn’t tell Aunt Angie what happened; because first, it was so unbelievable, and second, I didn't want them to worry for me. Ewan, I don’t know what to think of what happened. I'm extremely confused and doubtful. I'm still shocked as of now. There is only one thing I want to know. Why? "I can't promise, Two." She put a bandage around my injured right arm. On Aunt Angie's face, there was a trace of intense concern. I sighed. I adjusted to sitting on the infirmary bed and touched my bandaged wound. Earlier she had finished what Aunt Angie was doing to my wound and I knew she was busy at her table near the infirmary door. She had a lot of paperwork piled up there, I don't know what they were for. I leaned back against the headboard of the bed and looked out the window three beds away to my left. It was hot outside but it was funnier than what happened earlier in the locker room. Until now, I'm still gripping an answer inside my mind. "Two! Are you okay?" Shackie's worried voice echoed in the quiet place. There was a look of concern on her face. How did Shackie know I was here? She immediately hugged me closer, hugging me as if I couldn’t breathe too tightly. It was as if we hadn't seen each other for years and that's how she reacted. "What really happened, Two?" She let go of the hug and held both my shoulders in front of her kneeling on top of my bed. Shall I tell her what happened? The truth? Will Shackie believe me if I say so? I know she won't because she believes in the saying 'to see is to believe'. "Two, are you alright!" Hajin immediately went inside and approached my seat. Sweat trickled down his forehead. "Hajin?" I can't hide the shock in me. "Yes, me, who else?" He frowned at me and he winked at Shackie who was given a grin and a smirk from my friend. Shackie straightened up without taking her eyes off me. I feel like I must admit the truth so that I am free from the judgmental eye of my friend. That sucks, I know. "Why are you here, Jin? Who told you?" Shackie glanced at Hajin. Hajin wipes the sweat all over his face. "Your dear cousin, she tells me and here I am, concerned for my pitiful cousin," Hajin said, which caused me to feel bad. I hated the pitiful cousin's words. Are there no more endearing words than what he mentioned? "Pitiful cousin in your face, Hajin!" annoyed, I said to him. I adjusted my sitting and I don't really feel like this cousin of mine is here for me. His appearance here is annoying. If only the death glare could have killed this man earlier. I hate his laugh right now. "Hajin, can you leave if you're just annoying? ... Anyway, I've been waiting for your answer for a while. Two. What happened?" serious face that yielded Shackie. "Yes, Two. Why?" Suddenly, Hajin's aura became serious, which he had been enjoying lately. "It's a long story," I said, making my voice serious. "Hah! Do you still have a long story to tell? Why don't you just say Directly? From the wound on your arm you know a sword did that, shall I say, a samurai or katana." I could not believe what my friend told me. True to what she said, it was hard to insist that I was wounded by a cracked glass of window when I slipped into the locker room. "Really, Alliana?" Hajin's words looking at my friend and raising two eyebrows. "What do you think, Jin?" She looks critical at the man. "I don't know," he said, shrugging. "You don't know as much, you're good at charming and flirting with women but in this matter, you're stupid." "Who said I'm a womanizer? I'm loyal to you, Alliana," Hajin said with hurt feelings. "Whatever," Shackie said irritably. "Would you say, Two or not?" Shackie looked at me again while she frowned at Hajin and me. I sighed. "Ok, I'll tell you when we leave here. I don't want my aunt to hear what happened. Surely, she'll tell mommy about what she overheard," I said in a low voice. "We're leaving—" Shakie's words were cut short when a woman — Shackie's cousin, Lynn — suddenly entered. We looked in Lynn's direction with a confused look on her face. "Lynn ... why are you here?" Shackie asked. Lynn approached where I was without taking her eyes off me. She acted weird. "Why does Grenkan want to kill you?" she asked as she stopped opposite the hospital bed. "Grenkan?" At once the three of us said that the gaze was focused on him. "The one who wants to kill you in the locker room, a Grenkan," she said softly but we heard. "Two!" Shocked that Shackie looks at me. "Really?" I don't know if I'll admit it now. Someone said so about it and I can't lie anymore. "You're in great danger, Two. You're one of the primary lists they'll kill." I was shocked by what Lynn said. Wait, am I hearing it right? What!
