MARGIE
After one week of planning on how we will get Wyxia, this is what happened. I stood up from my seat even if my feet are weary for I still have something to do. To go to Delrux.
“Tell my parents, Lady Alliana, that I went home because I am not feeling well. Just make it look real. I still have an important thing that Wyxia wished me to do.” I want to tell her what I’ve learned what happened but I can’t. Even if I want to.
“And what kind of important thing is that, Lady Margie?” She scrofulously looked into my eyes while her brows were creased.
“I’ll tell you when I got home. Just do what I said, I will call you once I’m done.” I draw near her and hugged her for a second before leaving her with a face full of objections.
I walked fast towards the back part of the palace and entered inside. The women’s comfort room is big that’s made up of expensive red tiles. I carefully closed the gate of the room. There was a huge square mirror inside. I took off my dress and grabbed in my red secret pocket on my right a man’s clothe and wore them with a black cap.
Some minutes have passed before I got out of the restroom. I ran towards the garden and acted that I was just passing there. A constable wearing a red uniform stopped with a gun on his waist.
“A pleasant morning to you, Mister. Where are you going?” he asked before bowing down.
I stood up straight. “I am going to leave for my parents called me for an important meeting. May I?” I politely stated like I was a nobleman in front of him. I’ve already acted like a man whenever I’m sneaking out of our mansion and whenever I want to go outside.
I don’t like the new rule invoked by the queen where the noble ladies should only be at home whenever there are no classes. She should know that the boredom inside the house is killing me.
“Alright, Mister.”
I nodded and turned my back while heading towards the tall gate made of metal and was colored with paint of gold.
When I passed by the two guards of the gate, I went to the sidewalk until I reached the park of Ossetra. There are plenty of people seen at the part and some are parents together with their child. What’s the day today? Friday. I forgot so that’s why there are plenty of people around. I stopped at the waiting shed. The brightness of the sun was clear and serene. It’s good to have a picnic here right now. Perhaps, I will take Lady Margie to a picnic.
The bus stopped in front and I immediately hopped in. I sat on the second seat at the front part. Good thing the bus wasn’t full. I won’t have a hard time coming down the vehicle.
I looked outside the window. I saw the happy faces of the people at the park. I envy them. I hope my family can be that happy, too. It’s better to not be noble, I can experience being happy. I bet the three of us, Lady Alliana and Lady Thraia, are the only ones who can be happy with what we are doing.
I quietly looked outside the window when the bus started to take its leave. If it’s true that Thraia is still alive, I’ll know what really happened to her.
I stopped in front of a white gate with a white wall and a dark blue roof. It was a two-storey house. I shouldn’t have been mistaken that this is the house of Dulrex. Dulrex Sebastian Fergan. I know him for he was the doctor of my father before. He got accused of being a wicked scientist because of the story they made up that he created a medicine that killed thousands of citizens that happened ten years ago yet I can still vividly remember it all. From what Wyxia told me, that was all a lie. If that’s the case, does that mean he’s not the one who made that medicine? Could it possibly be the queen’s doing? But... why would she do that?
Argh! My mind was now puzzled by what I’m learning.
I took a deep breath and pressed the bell on the side of the blue gate. I pressed it three times and stopped when I heard the door opened and fast footsteps came near. I stood straight while waiting for the small door of the gate to open. Good thing I wore a cap to protect my head from the hotness of the sun.
A guy wearing unusual clothe welcomed my sight when the door of the gate opened. What he’s wearing wasn’t pants but it looks like that except for the fabric used to make it which was color blue and was tight to the point that it looked like his own skin. His upper part clothe was a long black tight sleeve and a long V shape on the neck of his shirt. My brows creased when I read the word ‘Smile and be happy.’ What does that mean?
“Are you done looking at me tenaciously, young man? What do you need?” he stated in a baritone voice without a smile on his red thin lips.
I faked a cough. “I want to talk to Dulrex. Mr. Dulrex Sebastian Fergan,” I said while looking at his black eyes. Wait, young man? What he said is kinda unfamiliar.
I can’t help but furrows my forehead that he noticed eventually. Who is he?
He placed his hands on his pocket. His white face turned serious, it has the shape of an oblong, a pointed nose, thick brown eyebrows, and his face is undeniably beautiful. His beige hair was kind of long and there’s a piercing on his right ear. This is the first time I saw a man wearing an earring.
“Tss, he’s inside the house, reading. Come inside,” he said and widened the opening of the door.
“Thanks, Mister.” I gave him a wide smile while going inside.
“Tss... Don’t call me Mister, it doesn’t suit me,” he cheepily stated.
“If that’s what you want,” I answered and followed him inside.
It’s really hard to think that I’m a girl after I disguised as a man. I made sure that I tied my bronze-colored hair properly and was hidden beneath my cap. What made me more looked like a man was the mustache I put between my nose and lips.
A clean sala welcomed my sight as soon as we entered the house. The tools are fixed in their right places and there wasn’t a glint of dust around. There was a huge television on the right side of the wall. Everything here was modern.
“Have a seat while waiting for him. I will just call him.”
I nodded and sat on the sofa. He took a step upstairs and disappeared from my sight. I leaned my back against the sofa while roaming my eyes around the place. I thought Delrux gone poor after they took his properties away from him. I never thought that his life is now better after what happened ten years ago.
“What do you need from me? Ugh! Why did that young man let you enter here without asking for my permission.” Annoyance can be heard in Delrux’s tone as he went downstairs.
I stood up and politely bowed my head down. “I apologize for not introducing myself, Mister Delrux,” I exclaimed. He halted at the side of the sofa and looked at me with his deep blue eyes.
“I am Lady Margie Rose Estella Peraxia,” I stated which made his eyes grew wide. “Wyxia told me to go here. There’s a word she wants me to tell you. Two.”
“Wait, why is your look like that if you’re really Margie and the daughter of Mister Edward?” Perplexed was in his tone. He’s tall and thin, and his brown hair was starting to whiten. Even his mustache is already getting white, too.
“It’ll be easy for me to go here if I’ll act like a boy,” I explained which made him nod.
“I never thought you’re not a real man. It’s hard to think especially that your disguise is really well-made. Come with me, ihja. I’ll explain everything to you upstairs.” He gestured his right hand and I just followed him.
I just noticed that he’s having a hard time walking while I was following him as we go upstairs.
“Is it true that Thraia is still alive, Mister Delrux?” I asked when we reached the second floor. There were five rooms there. I wonder where did the guy earlier go.
“She will be alive again if you’ll make a way where she won’t disappear,” he answered.
“What kind of way?”
We stopped at the end of a door made with metal and was painted with bronze color.
“I’ll tell you inside, Ihja.”
