Chapter 1 It's been five years since Venezia moved to Costa Rica to be with Vincent and so far, their relationship has been nothing but perfect. It truly seems as though they are the perfect piece for one other. They have the same interests and likes so it's hard to find a reason to argue since they usually always agree with each other. They have the same level of matureness when it's needed but they both can also act childish with no cares in the world. On top of everything, Vincent makes her happy. Venezia sees her life close to a fairytale. Things with Galen were a bit rocky when she first left to Costa Rica since Galen didn't agree with her choices; in fact, he was so mad, he didn't talk to her for a full year. Eventually that passed over and they went back to normal because they were too close to just act like the other person didn't exist. Venezia hasn't gone back home in those five years though. Her parents, Galen and Chandler, Galen's fiancé, have come to visit quite a few times but aside from that, nobody would be surprised if Venezia forgot what her own bedroom that she grew up in looks like. This fall, Venezia is finally returning home alongside with Vincent as Galen was getting married in December and planning was needed to be done for the rather soon wedding. Venezia had grown very close to Chandler and was going to be her sister-in-law shortly so it only made sense that she went to help with the wedding planning. - Venezia tapped her foot anxiously as she stood at her doorstep, waiting to be greeted by her family. Vincent and her had their fingers intertwined and he glanced at her from the corner of his eye, smiling as he could feel her impatience hovering over them. "Venezia!" Her mother laughed beamingly as she indulged her in a breathtaking hug. "Vincent son, how are you?" Mr.Mills smiled as he greeted Vincent. "Let me help you with those." Vincent and Venezia's father brought the bags inside as they got busy in their own conversation. "I missed you so much." Venezia sighed as she inhaled her mothers scent that consisted of flowers and strawberry fields from the shampoo she uses. "I missed you too, hun. I tell you, you guys should just move down here." Venezia chuckled as she pulled apart from her mother and the two entered their home. "Where is-" "Ven!" Galen laughed in delight as he ran down the stairs and embraced his sister in a big hug, picking her up off the ground and spinning her. Venezia chuckled as she held onto Galen for dear life. "G, I missed you." Venezia's eyes nearly welled up with tears, a smile so wide on her face it almost hurt. He placed her back on the ground and held her for a few seconds, not remembering the last time they hugged since it had been so long since they last saw each other. "I missed you too, you fool. How long has it been since I've been telling you to come back home?" He asked in a playfully stern voice as he pulled apart from her. "You look old." Venezia grinned as she ignored his question and looked at her twin brother who had a five o'clock shadow and messy hair that needed a cut. "I may be getting married but I am not anywhere near being old." Galen laughed, shaking his head. "Oh and by the way, Bel-" "Venny! You're here!" "Bella's here." Galen finished quietly, smiling as he took a step back so the two cousins could reunite. Bella and Venezia were basically soulmates when they were younger and always got attached to the hip when they were together. After a long hug, Bella and Venezia finally pulled apart. "So... let me meet this hubby of yours. I hear he's gorgeous." Bella smirked, quirking an eyebrow which only caused Venezia to laugh and look away. "Ah Bella," Dave, Venezia's father, said firmly as he exited the kitchen with Vincent and joined the rest of the family in the living room. "I believe you have yet to meet Vincent." "Hi, nice to meet you. Ven has told me lots about you." He smiled politely as he stuck his hand out for Bella to shake. Bella looked at Venezia in satisfaction, smirking a bit before she turned to Vincent. "You as well.. and all good right?" "I doubt there could be anything bad." Vincent laughed as they shook hands. Bella smiled before going back to Venezia and whispering in her ear, "Divorce him so I can marry him." "By the way, I am still really mad that I didn't get an invite to the wedding." Bella stated firmly although she wasn't actually mad. "I'm-" Venezia started but shut up because she didn't have a way of explaining. "It was small, in a chapel with just us and our parents." Vincent explained amiably. "And me." Galen interrupted. "But yeah, it was pretty sudden, and small. You didn't miss out on much." "Gee, thank you for that Galen." Venezia muttered sarcastically, walking over to Vincent and slowly and subtly grabbing his hand in hers. "It's okay really, now I can make up for it by having a massive wedding of my own." Galen winked, joking around before the family headed into the dining room to get ready for dinner. Later that night, Chandler came over and her, Galen, Venezia, Vincent, and Bella all sat in the lounge and had an amusing conversation over some wine, while they all caught up on the things that had been going on in their lives. All in all, Venezia was glad to be back home. Everything felt complete and perfect and uncomplicated. Too bad that would change once her past-love would make a friendly appearance...
