Ares pov:
I never imagined I’d leave like this… silently, without a goodbye, without even one last glance at the one who was once my whole world.
My mate… the woman I thought was my destiny, looked into my eyes and told me she wasn’t born to be a warrior’s wife, but to be a Luna. She said it coldly… as if I was just an obstacle in her path to rise. Was I really just a burden? I stood by her side, fought for her… loved her with the loyalty of a wolf who never betrays.
Her voice kept echoing in my mind, those poisoned words… every time I closed my eyes, I heard them again. The pain isn’t just from betrayal, but from the way it happened… how your trust, your dignity, and your heart all shatter at once.
I returned to my room, my body heavy, and my heart heavier. I sat in front of my phone, transferring my money to a new account, far from George’s and my father’s eyes. I wouldn’t let them take everything from me… not anymore.
I packed my clothes quietly. Moules was waiting for me at the car. We left at midnight, while everyone was asleep… and I was burying my old self.
third person pov :
On the road, Ares finally broke the silence:
– “Kiyom… my wolf wants us to head to the Wolf King’s territory. He wants us to swear loyalty and ask for permission to form our own pack.”
Mols looked at him with surprise and admiration.
– “You’re serious? You’re going to build your own pack?”
– “Yes. I’ve already found a place… a human owns a farm near the kingdom’s border. He’s willing to sell, and I’m thinking of buying it. Starting a new life there. Away from betrayal… away from all of them.”
Mols nodded silently, then smiled:
– “I’m with you. Till the end.”
suddenly Ares felt a sharp pain in his chest while driving. He stopped the car, but the pain was so intense that he lost consciousness.
Two hours later, he woke up to find his friend looking at him with worried eyes.
"Are you okay? You passed out for two hours!"
"I don’t know what happened, but I’m fine now. My wolf won’t stop howling... I don’t understand what’s wrong with him. Let’s keep going. Can you drive for a while?"
"Yeah, of course," the Beta replied.
The car drove into the night, the road long and dark—but Ares saw a new dawn rising, one unlike anything he had ever known.
After two long days of driving through winding mountain roads and endless forests, Ares finally arrived at the location. The moment the car turned down the gravel path, something shifted inside him.
Ahead lay a vast stretch of land surrounded by tall pine trees. A small wooden farmhouse stood at the center—simple, worn by time, yet holding a quiet strength. Beside it, an old red barn leaned slightly to one side, and a fenced field stretched toward the forest’s edge. Horses grazed lazily under the morning sun.
Ares stepped out of the car and inhaled deeply. The air was different here—clean, grounded, untouched by lies or blood.
Mols joined him, looking around.
– “It’s peaceful. Feels… right.”
Ares nodded slowly.
– “This is it. I can feel it. My wolf is calm for the first time in days, but worried in the same time i can't inderstand his worry."
They walked toward the house, where an older human man greeted them. The conversation was quick—Ares offered a generous price, and the man, ready to move on, agreed without hesitation.
By sunset, the deed was signed. The farm was now his.
That night, Ares stood on the porch, looking out over the land.
– “We’re home, Kiyom,” he whispered.
His new beginning had officially begun.

*Two days before Ares arrived at the farm...*
Gloria:
I was running.
I don’t know for how long exactly, but the wind was tearing through my chest, the air burned my face, and the ground beneath my feet felt like a hell of mud and thorns. All I knew was that my instincts were pulling me... toward an unknown, hidden, maybe even safe place.
I ran until my legs could no longer carry me, my breath ragged, my heart pounding like a war drum. Fear was eating me alive, but I didn’t dare stop.
The forest around me seemed to conspire against me... twisted trees, branches scratching my skin, and darkness slowly creeping in.
Then, suddenly, I heard it.
*The sound of branches cracking… behind me.*
Everything inside me froze. My mind screamed, *“Run!”* but my body was exhausted.
Still, I tried.
My next step was a disaster... a broken branch pierced my foot.
*“No… not now…”*
I whispered, dragging myself through the pain. It tore through me, but I kept going.
Because stopping meant the end.
And when I turned—I saw them.
*The Renégat.*
Wolves with glowing red eyes, circling me in heavy silence, as if they had chosen me for tonight’s hunt.
I staggered back, my entire body trembling. I didn’t know where to run, or how.
Then their leader stepped out.
The tallest, fiercest of them. His silence alone was terror. He looked at me, then growled... and charged.
*Everything after that became a scream—inside me.

*In the Red Moon Kingdom*
King William was carrying out his usual paperwork, as always. But what wasn’t usual was the restlessness of his wolf. It had been pacing all day, back and forth, staring toward the south—anxious, uneasy, as if sensing something it couldn't quite name. The king was disturbed. He couldn’t focus anymore.
He made his way to his mate, who stood on the balcony of her room, overlooking the southern part of the kingdom.
*"My love, are you alright?"*
*"Oh William… I’d be lying if I said yes. My wolf is driving me mad with all the growling and tension."*
*"You too?"* he said, brows furrowed.
*"I don’t know what’s going on, but what do you think about visiting the Wise Lady? She might help us understand this."*
They went to the seer, who welcomed them warmly. After murmuring a few incomprehensible words, she closed her eyes and spoke:
*"What is coming… is good. What is coming… is the key to hope. What is coming… is the future of this kingdom."*
William and Liza looked at each other in surprise.
*"What do you mean by that?"*
*"You will know soon enough… but I sense danger approaching. We must help him. You must help him, now."*
*"Toward the south, isn’t it?"* William asked, concern in his voice.
*"Yes… hurry."*
William stood quickly and opened a mind-link with his Beta.
*"Kris, where are you?"*
*"My King, we’re headed south. My wolf commanded me to go there immediately."*
*"We?"* William asked.
*"Yes, William. Gamma Jake too. His wolf forced him to head south. Seems like his protection instinct is triggered."*
*"Protection instinct?"* William repeated.
*"I thought a gamma only protected his mate or Luna."*
*"I don’t understand either, my King… but we’ll find out soon."*
*"Alright, Kris. Keep me updated."*
*"Yes, my King."*
