Chapter 12

Tisha

Me and A'Nae are walking into the school and guess what I see? Ace with a girl. I mean two can play this game. A'Nae looks at me worriedly and I just shrug my shoulders. I see this boy that has a little crush on me named Brett and made my way over to him, making sure that Ace is watching, and indeed he is.

"Hey Brett" I greeted him while running my hand up and down his arm. He blushed and smiled. He a little cutie and I would date him, but he just to soft for me and I would have him running around like a little lost puppy.

"Wassup Tisha? How you doing beautiful?"

"Good now that I’m talking to you." I told him getting closer to his chest. He puts his arm around my shoulder and I kiss his cheek. We walked past Ace and he's fuming with anger. At least he has a sense of how I be feeling at times when he's with another girl.

School is now over and I'm walking out the door with Brett. He took me to all my classes and he actually told me that he just wanted to stay friends. I told him about me and Ace and he agreed to help. If Brett did still like me like he use to I would try to date him. He's a good guy and he seems like he knows how to treat a lady. He’s funny and cute, I just... I just don't know what I want any more.

A'Nae

Forget Vahji ! He acts like what we had yesterday wasn't special. All up on another girl this morning and ignored me when I tried to talk to him. What kind of BS is that? Got me messed up in all kinds of ways. I’m now at my car waiting for Tisha to hurry her ass on. Her ass been with that Brett kid all day. They would be cute, but I know she ain't feeling him like that and I heard he digging somebody else.

Ace on the other hand been fuming all day. Like he can't actually believe that Tisha went and talked to another dude. He thought she was gonna cry and cause a scene like she always does. My friend might be a little naïve but she ain't dumb. Ace need to learn that he ain't gonna be running all over her like she a sidewalk. It don't work that way baby boy.

Corahn walked up to me right when I received a text from Tisha telling me that Brett is taking her home. Well good for them. Corahn decides to hop his ass in the car and invite himself to my house, my best friend.

When me and Corahn got to the house mama was still at work, I think she decided to work a double today. Just wonderful, note the sarcasm. Me and Corahn rack up some snacks and go sit on the couch and watch the movie "Friday" this my movie though.

"So what’s up with you and Vahji?" Corahn had asked me out the blue. Truthfully I don't know what's going on with me and him. I'm scared to get my feelings more involved with him cause I have a feeling he's gonna break them and I don't have time for that.

"I don't know. He acts like he cares one minute then the next he wanna act like I'm just another broad on the streets."

"Maybe you should tell him how you really feel." He suggests.

"Why so I can look stupid? I don't wanna get my feelings involved. He doesn't care what I feel for him. It's not like he doesn't already know I'm feeling him. We ain't gonna go no further than how we are now."

"You don't know that A'Nae. Maybe he really feeling you, but doesn't know how to go at it."

"How you and your mystery girl you trying to get at since you won't tell me her name." I changed the subject and pouted. He really won't tell me her name and it's making me and little angry.

"We’re actually talking. I'll tell you her name in due time. I wanna make sure that we have something going on first you know? Her and that nigga she was sprung on are over and she says she has no more feelings for him." He tells me carefully.

I nod my head and we just continue watching the movie. Later on all I remember is both of us falling asleep on the couch.

I woke up due to somebody knocking on the door. I look at the time and it's 10:30pm. Dang, we been sleep for a while. I look over at Corahn and he's still knocked out. The person knocked at the door again and I went and cracked it open seeing Vahji standing there looking good.

"Can I come in?" He asked in his sexy deep voice.

"I don't know. You gonna act like you can't see me like you did at school today?" I asked him the door still cracked open. He looked away and looked back in my eyes. I weakened and let him in the house. He walked into the living room and seen Corahn sleep on the couch and shook his head.

"What he doing here?" Vahji asked me seriously.

"He's my best friend. He can come over whenever he pleases. We were watching "Friday" then we fell asleep. I could still be sleep if you didn't come knocking at the door." I told him while waking up Corahn and telling him he should get home before his mama throw a fit. He dapped up Vahji and gave me a look and left out the house, he only lives a couple of blocks away so I guess he was going to walk home.

I turned back to Vahji and we sat down on the couch. Wonder what he wants to talk about.
