A'Nae

Today, school was school. I’m now at home getting ready for my date with Corahn, after leaving the mall. I was there for a couple of hours. He won't tell me where we going. All he says is that we're gonna have the time of our lives. Yeah okay, note the sarcasm. I find Corahn attractive, but I don't think I would want to be his girlfriend. He seems more like a good friend type of guy for me. I don't think I could be the one for him.

Corahn and I are now at KiKu's, a Japanese restaurant. I was having the steak dinner while Corahn was having the chicken and shrimp dinner. It was so good. Me and him started having small talk.

"So are you enjoying this date?" Corahn asked me with a smile on his face. That’s cute.

"Yeah, this food is great." I told him, and it was, but we weren't connecting on a boyfriend, girlfriend level.

"I'm having a great time, but I don't think you are A'Nae."

"Corahn, what was the real reason you asked me out on this date?" I had asked him. Ever since he asked me I been feeling weird. Like, all this time I've been going to this school you just now wanna approach me.

"I seen that you are digging Vahji and you're a nice girl and I don't want to see you get hurt by him. He don't know how to be in a relationship. You see how he treats Talia." He tells me. See, I knew there was another reason why he asked me on this date.

"Boy, ain't nobody worrying about Vahji. I don't want him." I lied through my teeth. I want Vahji so bad, but I'm not gonna let him know that. I’m just going to let things run its course.

"Yeah, okay. So are we just friends now?" He asked me with a confused look on his face

"Yeah Cory. We’re just friends" I assured him.

"Cory? Aye, I like that." He said. I laughed and we continued with our dinner. We hung out some more and we ended up at Vahji's house. Well here I am once again. At Vahji's house, lets hope this ends well.

we knocked on the door and Vahji answered it with the most serious look on his face. Does he ever smile ? He let us in and we entered the living room where I saw Ace, Tisha, Kenny and Talia big headed ass. I greeted everybody and Talia rolled her eyes. Stuck up ass. I sat down on one of the couches and Corahn sat down next to me. Vahji later entered and sat Talia on his lap.

"Where were you and Corahn at before y'all came?" Tisha asked me with her nosy ass.

"We were at KiKu's." I confessed to her.

"Yall together or something?" Vahji had asked me. I mean why does he care anyway? shut up A'Nae. Just answer the damn question.

"No. We're not together." I answered his question.

"Then why was yall at dinner together if you're not together." He asked, what was all this question asking?

"Cause she's my best friend now. That's why Vahji so stop asking her questions." Corahn told him. I smiled and Vahji mumbled something under his breath. Me, Tisha, Ace, Corahn, and Kenny was in a conversation talking about everything and I look over to see Talia peck Vahji on the lips and they headed up the stairs. I told Corahn I was ready to go cause I already knew what I would be hearing and that would break my heart to hear him be intimate with another girl that way.

Corahn dropped me off at home and I walked in the house to see my mom sleep on the couch again, everyday thing. I kiss her cheek and covered her up with a blanket, then I headed up to my room and went to sleep.

When will Vahji realize what he would have in me?
