Well, the f*****g parents are coming back.
“I don’t understand,” whines Stella as the four of us sit in the living room, drinking and complaining. "Why do they care about the disappearance of a nobody? It’s only been a few days. She could be on a bender two cities over, for all we know.”
I highly doubt that Payton Shields is on a bender, but I see her point.
It’s Tuesday—three days after her disappearance. As we promised Harley and Will, we have half the school sleuthing for signs or rumors about where she might be, but so far, we’ve had no luck. And now Will’s f*****g father has gone to our parents and reported the missing student.
