Alpha Black

Chapter 2

Black's POV.

I felt it. I felt the bond and this is because she was my mate. Emily, the daughter of Alpha Jethro, of the X pack. I don't think she would ever forgive me for killing her parents. I also don't think she would ever love me either. Taking her as my mate and Luna would bring nothing but destruction upon my pack. I was sure she was going to take her revenge on me someday.

Emily's body radiated strange powers. I felt that because the moon became brighter, and shone in our path as I took her to my cousin's pack. She must be someone loved by the Moon goddess. Well, I had kept her with Xander. Xander would take care of her till she gets to her milestone age. By then, maybe she would feel our mating bond, and love me. And maybe forgive me for killing her parents.

I was at the upper chamber of my cabin by the window, glaring at the young pups on the field who were on the pack run. I loved to stand here to watch young pups who run around carefree and in happiness. It was a means of reminding the Moon goddess that I also need a pup, at least, a male pup that would take after me when I am old.

" My master!" Beta Valor, rushed into my chamber with a worried face, panting restlessly.

" Beta Valor, what's the problem?" I asked in curiosity as he was sweating profusely in confusion.

" Our pack is in trouble. The Lycan king has sent Alpha Zak to attack Alpha Xander, and in no distant time they would be there!" Beta valor pronounced.

" What? Why is he attacking Alpha Xander?" I asked in brighter eyes.

" A group led by Alpha Zak said there is a young girl whom you saved yesterday in the X pack, and the girl is the only child of Alpha Jethro. It was said that the young girl must be killed else she would take revenge in the future according to the prophecy " Beta Valor added distinctly.

I froze in my place as if his word was an arrow that just pierced my heart. Who the hell knew about my hidden secret? Who was the spy among the group that could dare unveil my secret to the Lycan king? Who dared me? I am Alpha Black, ten men in one man , irrefutable, fierce, brutal, ruthless and deadly! Whosoever did this was ready for nothing, but death. Nonetheless, I must rush right away to my cousin and save his pack alongside my mate, Emily.

" Take in charge of the pack, Valor. I must assist Alpha Xander" I said to Beta Valor, and picked up my fighting dress. I hung my sword over my neck and strode out of my cabin aggressively. Immediately, those running on the field stopped, and watched me as I shifted to my big black wolf. I launched into the deep forest, panting harder on motion. Emily must not be killed, and Alpha Xander must not regret helping me or else i might not hold myself waging war against the Lycan King.

I was halfway through the deep forest when two wolves lunged at my direction, and collided forcefully with me. I fell on the floor, and quickly shifted back to my human form. Raising up my gaze was Alpha Zak, my second commander in the group, and four of other Alphas, glaring daggers at me as if they had planned to kill me even before now. I was surprised to see them in this path. How did they know I was going to a fight? How did they know that I was going to take this route? There seemed to be a spy in my pack that sneaked out my plan. I stood annoyingly in place, my sword sparkled like a golden alloy, and blood dripped out of my wounded neck, as I stared at Alpha Zak, and the other Alphas.

" Zak! I thought you are going to support me. Why on earth would you be after my life?" I asked Zak, the second commander of our group.

" Since the day you killed our fellow brothers, and disobeyed our lord, the Lycan king just to save a little girl" Zak pronounced.

" Killed our brothers?" I asked treacherously.

" Stop being innocent here, Black. I saw you killing our brothers and I also saw you taking the young girl out of the scene yesterday. I followed you, Black, until I saw you hand her over to Alpha Xander" Zak exposed. I parted my lips in mockery and laughed over his statement.

" Yes, I killed our brothers to save my mate, Zak. Don't be unwise . The Lycan king is just using us to get more money, fame, and power. I never asked for any of those, but he should at least let me spare my mate, Emily " I reasoned with him.

" No, Black. I have waited for this day for so long. You know you don't worth to be the first commander of the group. Tell me where Emily is and I will spare your life " Alpha Zak said. I laughed out sinisterly at him, but quickly thought of where Emily could be .

" Alpha Xander is dead. No one will help you, Black. I will cut off your head and gift it to the Lycan king " Alpha Zak drew out his sword alongside other Alphas.

" What? How dare you kill my cousin?" I screamed belligerently, and tears gathered at the brim of my eyes. I pulled out mine and lunged for an attack.

I dodged his strike, and blew his face. He fell on the floor and grunted. A sword from behind sliced my flesh. I grunted and faced the bearer of the sword. I gash through his belly, but received another slice in my neck, blood gushing out and drenched me. I dodged Alpha Zak's sword, and shifted to my big black wolf. However, I found my way out of their means and ran out of the place.
