Ethan's pov
"Lock up on your way out," I said to my secretary as I adjusted my suit.
"Yes sir, but sir... Err are you leaving already?" She questioned.
" What does it look like?" I asked rhetorically. I let out a sigh, "I'm unavailable for any business calls and meetings at the moment. I can't be here teaching you your job, even after I pay you." I said.
She nodded in response. I hurried to the car and drove myself down to a popular hotel on the other side of town. I checked in and made my way to the room and locked myself in. As I threw my suitcase on the couch in the room, I took off my suit and slowly unbuttoned my shirt as I made my way to the bathroom.
I took a warm soothing shower and wrapped myself in my robe afterwards. Immediately, I stepped out of the shower, and I heard a knock on the door. "Perfect timing," I muttered to myself as I made my way to the door.
I looked over my shoulder to ensure everything was intact before going to open the door.
As I unlocked it, Selena was standing right behind it. She stepped in and watched me lock it up.
"Hey, beautiful." I greeted, shooting her a toothiest smile.
"Hi! How are you?" She said as she threw her purse on the bed and wrapped her hands around my shoulders, "I hope I'm not late?" She said, in a flirty tone.
" No. You're not my love. In fact, you came just in time."
" Perfect." She pulled away from me and looked me up and down. "You've had your bath?"
"Yeah I did that immediately I got here," I responded.
" Ugh! You couldn't even wait for me?!" She whined following it with a chuckle.
"I'm so sorry darling." I chuckled.
After a moment, we were both tucked in bed. Selena lay in my arms as she drew invisible shapes on my chest. "What's up with that dumb woman living under your roof?" She started.
" Piper?--"
" Who else?" She interrupted.
"Well, she's probably at home... I don't know." I responded.
" Everyone is well-aware that I'm back now. When will you stop living a lie and just tell her the truth?" Selena asked.
I let out a sigh. This topic was very exhausting and Selena has always been very pushy about me telling Piper off. "I planned for us to meet up here because I needed to escape from Piper, all her drama and everything related to her, yet here I am again, talking about her."
"Okay, fine..." Selena said as she wrapped her hands around me and started planting kisses on my face and lips. "You're staying with me tonight, you know that right?" Selena asked.
I turned to the mini clock on the side stool, and it was almost midnight. "I don't mind spending all the time in the world with you, my love." I smiled at her. She got up on top of me, with one leg on each side, and planted her lips on mine passionately as our tongues played in each other's mouths.

"When next will I see you?" I asked as I watched her put on her earrings, still in her robe as she just got out of the shower.
"I'm not sure Ethan. Maybe today? It could be tomorrow, I'm not just sure."
" Alright, I'll call you, my love." I got up and wrapped my hands around her waist as I kissed her multiple times on her cheek. " I'm going to miss you, that's for sure."
"I miss you already. You do have a chance to spend all the time you want with me, but... You're not ready to let Piper go, so I guess we'll have to deal with things like this." Selena said to me, without even stealing a glance at me through the mirror at least.
I let go of her and cleared my throat as I buttoned my suit up.
"What?" She asked, acting like she had no idea of what talking about Piper does to me.
"I'll be on my way out now. I'll stop at the mansion first, then at the office." As I made my way to the door, she said, " Okay, that's alright too. Maybe let me know when you've gotten rid of Piper too, I'd really appreciate that." As she started putting on her dress.
"I feel like you're putting so much pressure on me, on this issue," I said.
" What are you talking about?" She turned to me, looking very confused and surprised.
"Are you seriously going to act like you don't know what I'm talking about?"
"I'm not acting, I just don't know what you're talking about."
"In this case, you're really good at bringing up Piper in every single conversation. Somehow you find a way to relate her to everything--"
" Yeah, that's because I'm losing my patience." She interrupted me. She placed her lipstick on the table and approached me close to the door instead as she spoke, "I need you to get rid of her so I can finally have you all to myself. I'm sick of sharing and hiding."
" And I promised you I'd do that, didn't I?"
Yes, you did." She responded.
"Look, Selena, I gotta go, I'll see you later." To avoid an unnecessary argument and anyone else seeing me leaving the same hotel room Selena Hart slept in, I left the room before Selena did to avoid unnecessary drama.
By the time I got back home and pushed the front door open, I saw Piper in the living room. She hurried towards me and gave me a tight hug. "You're home, I've been waiting for you. It seems like you overworked yourself yesterday."
I was a bit pissed off after the little conversation I had with Selena and Piper's hug only irked me even more, she seemed super excited to see me but I didn't feel the same Selena was right, everything she said was true, I just needed to get rid of Piper, I could no longer keep this act up.
"Babe?"
"Yeah yeah... I did, " I muttered as I gently removed her hands from my body and made my way upstairs, and she followed suit, chattering like a chatterbox.
"Did you see the news?" She sat on the bed.
