Jace's POV “Oh s**t! That stings!” I hissed as pain shot through my shoulder. The doctor tilted slightly before gripping my arms a little less tighter. I pursed my lips when he grazed my bullet wound with a cotton wool. Just a couple of minutes ago, I was addressing a crowd, and now, I was in an abandoned warehouse, treating a bullet wound. I sucked in my breath and bit my lips hard as the pain in my arm spiked up. For a second, I dabbled with the thought of leaving the wound untreated. My hands pulled my tie until it was loose around my neck. In my head, my thoughts were spiraling.
