Ethan's POV
“And you had to shoot him to prove your f*****g point?”
“So what if he got in the way of the shot, why didn't you call a f*****g ceasefire?” Those were the first words I heard the minute my head started to rise about the dark water I was in.
My eyes were closed but I felt a sharp pain stinging through my back so I kept them shut. My heart slammed against my chest. I couldn't make out the voice of who was speaking because for some reason, my ears kept echoing in my head.
At first, I tried lifting my fingers but I couldn't feel it. Or maybe I didn't have them anymore. It wasn't until then that I realised I couldn't feel the rest of my body. Except for the pain that was almost tearing my back apart. I bit my lips and grunted whilst attempting to force my body back to life
