CHAPTER 1
I can still remember the day it happened as vivid as if it were yesterday it all begun with an asteroid , scientist named it crystalis due to its colourful crystalized embodiment it landed in Athena ,Greek on the winter night of November 11 what was unknown to us was that the so called astroid was but a space ship carrying within it the angel of death as we know it a creature of mass destruction that was to bring out the end of the world as we know it.
The destruction was signaled by the transfer of the astroid to American NASA HQ while there the scientist begun excavating the astroid that's when they were met with the ships body this was not only a shock but also a game changer to the scientists approach on the matter because now the turned a page on the existence of extraterrestrial beings with more advanced technology AKA aliens.
After much attempts they accidentally opened a section of the ship and there they found it the weapon of destruction it was on suspended animation,it was nothing compared to what we had always seen in movies or what we had imagined .The creature was like a hyena with wings like a bat a skin as grey as an elephant that had folds like a hundred and fifty year old witch hazel it had two long feet with claws like a trex its hands had talons like an eagle but the fingers and arms were human like.
The scientist named it Terror as it invoked terror to anyone who would look at it .
The doomsday was triggered by Chris Tomlin nicknamed the prophet of doom accidentally as most people claimed switched off the refrigerator that kept the creature and freeze temperature to maintain the suspended animation since it had gone off when they open the spaceship,the temperature increase begun activating the creature and it's temperature rapidly increased and it awoke .
When the beast awoke it left devastation in its path it devoured every living thing that stood in its path killing and feeding lurvishly like a picky eater would the hall area around the HQ had no living thing except plants it scampered to the grand canyon as the military's attempts to put it down were futile as it was faster and agile for a creature the size of two double decker bus joined together .
The problems begun when it gave rise to offspring that wereuch smaller to it others had wings while others didn't the ones with wings had faces like pigs and their hands were fused with the wings like a bat , while those wingless had strong hind legs looked more like jackals but their hind legs were longer and they had talons instead of claws and their skin was grey and folded .both of the two had so many teeth in their mouths and their mouths could dislodged enabling them to swallow large prayers .
The offsprings got out of the canyon in very great numbers like Solomon's army clearing the surrounding areas in days a whole state fell to their viscosity most of their hunt was takenn to their queen who gave rise to armies endlessly.nuclear weapons and missiles proved futile as the queen has some how generated an energy barrier around the grand canyon and a in a peculiar way her own climate a storm they shielded the canyon fom sunlight making it dark always the only way that was available was entering by land and that at some point seemed impossible since the land around the canyon was swarming with the terrortones ,the name given to its offsprings .
The people of North , South America and Asia were forced to flee to Africa and Antarctic where the soldiers of all countries were to make a last stand .
In about five months the whole of the North America and the South America wer cleaned by the beasts and only the plants and insects remained to tell the tales of the area .
The UN begun training young adults
with sofisticated weapons made specially for putting down the beasts ,the weapons were made and tested on terrortones capture during survey deployments .
I was on an errand for my mother when they took me and I was taken and placed into a van there I met a bond lady who introduced himself as Christian Anderson the head of the Terror squad program and that I was amng the few chosen to join the squad . I was informed that I should not worry about my errands my mother was informed about the administion into the squad and that she would be given some advantages in the encampment if I join and that she is also going to get paid.
I was taken to the airport and from there I was flown with other kids my age to the antarctic where our training is to begin.
My name is Nathaniel Hollister and Iam part of the Terror squad an elite team and humanities last hope against the terrortones. I was just weeks from my nineteenth birthday when we moved to the safe zone in Africa,my mother and I had lived in my father's house in California ever since he died in an accident which had had a great effect on me as I decided to stop schooling and help my mother in paying the mortgage the only inheritance he had left as , I was adopted since my father was found to be infertile, his drug abusive habit had made him have a low sperm count and my mother had decided on adoption as the only option for them . My mom was so loving to me this no one would suspect I was not his biological son ,but as for my father due to the guilty conscience he redirected his frustrations to me and this detested me as if it were my fault and what made him even more furious was the fact that mom gave me most of her attention.
