“We need to find them,” said Kiko, moving toward the path to the festival grounds. He heard Dom following and within a moment he was keeping pace next to Kiko’s side.
“Yeah, think we should call the cops now?” asked Dom as Kiko led them toward his stand. He wanted to let Katie know he was all right after his phone had cut out. He could see children participating in the egg and spoon races next to the booth, and Katie leaning out of it, on her phone.
“And say what?” asked Kiko, frustrated. They should have put this together earlier.
