A dose of Liquid Courage

1903 Words
Bryce Fuck. What did I just say? It just came out of my mouth. I can't believe I actually said it. Did I really love her? I mean I barely even knew her. I was dating Olivia for 6 months before I actually said that I loved her. And she had to threaten me with a break-up for me to admit to her that I loved her then. And here I am… less than a month of knowing Tiana… and I’m telling people that I love her? That doesn't seem right. Well, it does the trick though… Valerie stops bugging me. I’m lost in my own thoughts, trying to figure out what I just told Valerie. But I’m brought back to reality when Tiana raises a toast to the newlyweds. Everyone gets up and raises their glasses. Now, it's the asshole Bryan's turn to give his toast to the bride and groom as the Best Man. Tiana and Bryan share an awkward toast with each other as he finishes his speech... as I share an equally awkward one with Valerie. Tiana smiles at me as she returns to her seat. “Hey. Are you okay?” She asks. “Yes, Darling. I am. Beautiful speech.” I tell her. Fuck, Bryce. Get your act together. I still can’t get over the fact that it actually came out of my own mouth. I stare at Tiana as she sips on her wine. Her cheeks are getting flushed from all the wine she’s been drinking. Do I really love her? I like her... that much I can admit. But love? Well, maybe it was just my subconscious trying to find a way to throw Valerie off. Yes… that should be it. I can’t really be in love with Tiana. I can’t. I sip on my wine and decide that I’m not. I smile at her… Yes,  I should forget I said it. And I’ll just try to enjoy the rest of the weekend with her.  Tiana I’m not much of a wine drinker. But I’ve had one too many today… because that was the only alcohol available for now. I know Kylie and Stan had an open bar for the after-party. But I couldn’t wait for that. So I’ve been drinking wine since I was talking to Kay earlier. Liquid courage, they say. And I guess it’s working because I’ve been able to act normally around Bryce. I couldn’t f*****g believe Bryan actually talked to Bryce. Thankfully though, Bryce left out the part about us getting married. Plus, I couldn’t really believe it either that Bryce told him we were dating. I knew he said he would help me make Bryan regret cheating on me… but I know it wasn’t that… he actually meant it. I can't believe it. From being cheated on… I was actually dating California’s most eligible bachelor, THE Bryce Andrews. Wow. I down another glass of wine. All this, apart from having to deal with Kay… and I haven’t been able to talk to Bryan’s parents yet… what a night this was turning out to be. If it wasn’t Kylie getting married tonight… I’d be in my room alone. Well, maybe not alone… Bryce was pretty good in making me forget about my problems anyway. Besides, I was already wet earlier just seeing his erection trying to bust through his pants as he was nibbling in my ear. I down my newly refilled glass of wine… hoping to contain my horniness as I imagined Bryce’s erection. “Hey. That’s a lot of wine. Are you trying to get drunk?” Bryce says chuckling. “It’s not. I’m okay.” I lied. It was. I was starting to feel a little bit woozy. The wedding finally comes to an end. Kylie and Stan say thanks to their guests. And we all cheer as they officially open the bar and the dance floor. “Want to dance?” Bryce asks. “Sure. But let’s get a drink from the bar first.” I tell him as we both stand up from our seats. I lead us both to the bar, his hand on the small of my back. “One double shot of vodka please, on the rocks.” I tell the bartender, before turning to Bryce. “For you?” “Double shot of whisky please, darling.” He says, as he wraps his arm around my waist. “Double shot of whisky, please.” I call out to the barista. I raise my glass to Bryce as the bartender hands us our drinks. “To Kylie and Stan.” I say. “To this weekend.” He smirks, before clinking his glass to mine. I’ve just taken a sip of my drink when I feel someone tapping me on the shoulder. I turn around and I find Bryan’s parents. Fuck. And Bryce’s arm was around my waist. “Martha. Kevin.” I greet them before I take another sip of drink. “Oh honey. Kay told us! I’m so sorry about Bryan. I gave him a scolding!” Martha says. I guess Bryce figures out who they are as he removes his arm from my waist. I could feel his eyes staring at me intently though. Martha pulls me into a hug and I hug her back. I thought… Martha and Kevin would have been the perfect parents-in-law. I got along so well with them. Damn Bryan. She pulls away from me and looks at Bryce. “And who is this young man?” She asks. “Oh, Martha, Kevin… this is Bryce Andrews.” I say. Bryce gives them a curt smile and shakes hands with Kevin. Martha then glares at him and says, “You better take care of my Tatiana.” “Honey.” Kevin scolds his wife and mouths Sorry to us as she pulls her away. I down the rest of my vodka and ask the bartender for a new glass. “I’m sorry, Bryce.” I tell him. He wraps his arm around my waist and pulls me closer to him. He plants a kiss on my forehead and says, “Let’s forget about that and just have fun.” “Don’t get too drunk. I want you sober for later.” He sheepishly adds whispering into my ear before he nibbles it. I down my second glass of vodka and grab his hand. “C’mon, let’s dance.” I figured Bryce was right. Now that Kay and Bryan’s parents were taken care of, I didn’t have to worry about anything. Besides this was my best friend’s wedding… I should be enjoying myself. And I did... I spent the night dancing and drinking… mostly with Bryce… a little with Kylie and Stan... and some of our other friends. Bryce was a really good dancer. I was wondering if there was anything he wasn't good at it. For most of the night though, I could feel Bryan’s eyes on me as I catch a glimpse of him drinking by himself at the bar. Close to midnight, I could feel the effects of all the alcohol I’ve consumed today. My legs were starting to feel weak and my head was spinning. I could hardly keep myself upright. Just as I’m out to fall, Bryce catches me in his arms. “I think it’s time to call it at night, darling.” He chuckles. I look at him and decide that we could continue our fun in the room. That's a fantastic idea! I wrap my arms around his neck and rest my head on his chest. We pass through Kylie and Stan and I hear Bryce congratulate them and tell them that we’re heading back. The last thing I remember was Kylie shouting that she’ll see me tomorrow. The next day, I wake up with a massive headache. I try to open my eyes but I close them right back as I feel the glare of the sun. “Good Morning, Darling.” Bryce says as he gives me a peck on my forehead. I slowly open my eyes and I see his beautiful face right above mine. “Good Morning, Bryce.” I shyly say. Wanting to still sleep in, I pull the blanket over my head. I hear Bryce chuckling. Then it hits me, I’m naked. Oh no…. not again! I bring my head out of the covers and look at Bryce… who was now sitting in the bed beside me. His back was leaning against the headboard and he was reading something in his phone. He was shirtless…. I could see his toned arms and chiseled abs. Damn, this guy was really hot. I closed my thighs as I was starting to get excited just by looking at him. “Done staring?” He chuckles and looks at me. “Uhmm… did we…” He cuts me off and chuckles more. “No, we didn’t.” “Then why am I naked? Did I vomit? If I did, I’m sorry…” I replied him. “No, you didn’t vomit. And we didn’t have s*x. Although you wanted to… and that’s why you stripped naked. Don't get me wrong, Tiana. I want you. But I want you sober. I was trying to get you to sleep but you insisted you wanted to give me head... ” He pauses. I could see he was trying to hide something. “And? Did I give it to you?” I probed, because I really couldn’t remember anything. “Are you sure you want to hear it?” He says chuckling. Oh God. I did something embarrassing. Or I must have been really bad. “Well, it couldn’t be worse than us getting married right?” I tell him. “Well, you started licking me... and then you fell asleep.” He smirks. Oh my God! I could feel my face getting red! I covered my head with the blanket. Oh my God… I fell asleep trying to give him head. How embarrassing. I hear Bryce chuckling as he takes the blanket off me. “It’s okay, darling. It happens. And for the record, us getting married in Vegas… that’s not so bad.” “Says the guy who sent Michael and two bodyguards to pick me up.” I remind him. “Touche! But hey, it’s not so bad now.” He smirks. I cover my head with the blanket again. I couldn’t get over it… I was so freaking embarrassed!
