Chapter 1: Ave Maurer
"Salamat sa hatid, Uncle Denver."
Ave bowed a little to her Uncle kagaya ng palagi niyang ginagawa— a sign of respect and gratefulness.
He's also okay with it dahil siya lang naman mag-isa at wala siyang anak.
"Ako lang naman ang pamangkin mo, Uncle," Ave said softly while feeling Uncle Denver's hand caressing her hair.
Denver sighed looking at her niece. Ave has always been a quiet kid.
As much as he wanted to ask, ayaw niya namang lumayo ang loob ng bata sa kaniya.
Denver waited for her niece to get inside the gate bago siya umalis papuntang trabaho niya.
Ave maybe quiet but she is very much approachable. Every body in her school is fond if her.
She is part of the Badminton Club and was last year's Single A- Women's Division Representative.
She also is the Student Council President for two three consecutive years now. Well, she wanted to run for the position but hindi niya ineexpect na mapapaaga ang pagkapanalo niya.
Back when she was a freshman, she always say to her self that she wanted to be a president. To prove that she can organize and change this school. Maganda ang pamamalakad ng presidente ng Student Council that time pero she know she can do better.
She was elected as a grade level representative on her seventh grade and won. The former president was fond of her and offered her to run for Secretary the following year and won again. The President that time was very impressed with her being organize and all that's why she offered Ave to run for the President position and she won.
At the age of fifteen, she became the youngest Student Council President Brooklyn High had.
On her first year, some think she won because her grand father was the dean which she think was really funny.
She proved them wrong by doing her best in every thing she do. She won a gold medal on Badminton, became an honor student and be a Student Council President at the same time.
Ave became a role model to all. The teachers are fond of her as well as her classmates and schoolmates.
Avelanche Maurer is indeed perfect.
"Good Morning, Ave."
"Ave, hi!"
"Good Morning, President."
A lot of student greeted her which Ave greeted back and smiled. They're familiar to her but sadly Ave sucks at names. Makakalimutin ito pag pangalan ang pag-uusapan.
"Good Morning, Miss President!" a cute chubby girl with her pigtails and uniform greeted Ave.
Napatingin si Ave sa I.D. lace nito at nalaman niyang isa itong freshman.
In their school, Ave suggested to differentiate each grades by different colors para mabilis malaman kung what grade ang students.
Red for the seventh grade, orange for the eighth grade, yellow for the nineth grade, green for the tenth grade, blue for eleventh grade and purple for the twelfth grade.
Their school uniform was white long sleeves, black neck tie, a black and white striped pleated skirt, a pair of ankle high socks and a pair of black shoes. They also have a black vest with golden patch on the right chest, the logo of their school, but it's the student's choice if he wanted to wear the vest or not. It's only needed every Monday.
"Hi, cutie," she greeted the cute girl back. The girl blushed.
Some of my cousins have a crush on you nga po eh, lalo na si Kuya ko," proud na sabi nito.
Jogging towards them is the Vice President of the Student Council, Travis Navarro.
"Oh.. hi, little girl. Kunin ko na si Miss President, ha? Papakainin pa ako nito eh. Enjoy your day!" sabi nito at inakbayan na si Ave paalis.
Kumaway si Ave sa bata at ngumiti, "Welcome to Brooklyn High!"
