Chapter 1: Forbidden love đđ

Alex eyes lingered on his sister, Anabel, as she prepared dinner in the kitchen. The way the fading light danced across her face, illuminating her smooth skin and bright smile, made his heart ache. He felt a familiar knot in his stomach, a mix of love, protectiveness, and something more.
"Anabel, let me help," Alex offered, his voice low and gentle.
"Brother, I've got this," Anabel replied, her laughter warm and reassuring.
As Alex watched her expertly chop vegetables, his mind wandered to the suitors who had begun to appear at their doorstep. Men seeking to take Anabel away from him. His grip on the counter tightened.
How could they not see that she was meant for him alone?
"Alex, what's wrong?" Anabel asked, noticing his tense expression.
"Nothing, sis," he lied, forcing a smile. "Just tired."
Anabel concerned gaze lingered, but she didn't press.
As night fell, Alex retreated to his room, his thoughts swirling with dark possessiveness. He couldn't shake the feeling that he was losing Anabel, that the world was conspiring against him.
In the silence, Alex's inner turmoil boiled over:
"Why can't they see? She's mine. My sister, my love, my everything."
