And then there was the memorable day Jack and Theo walked back from a crime scene to the car and passed a brightly decorated shop window. Jack froze on the spot and couldn’t stop himself from clapping his hands together and exclaiming excitedly, “This pram is perfect!”
Before Theo knew what hit him, Jack was practically galloping into the shop.
For the rest of the day, his partner eyeballed him suspiciously. When Jack was about to head home, pram proudly at the ready, Theo blocked the exit with crossed arms.
“You’re not leaving here,” he stated, when Jack asked what it was all about, “before you tell me what the hell’s going on with you.”
Jack leaned on the handlebar of the pram, trying his best to look innocent and quizzical.
“You know what I’m talking about, partner,” Theo continued
