ALPHA BRAD POV
Rhylee’s outburst when Balka spoke with her earlier, her behaviour unusual for her to say the least., I noticed some interesting changes in her eyes.
I definitely expected when her wolf presented that she was always going to become a little hellcat, but I have never seen eyes change like hers do. Normally there is one colour that eyes change to, but I am sure there were two of three.
That girl definitely pushed our limits this morning, so now she has returned to her room, I am going to go to the cells beneath the Guardhouse. When we found Rhylee at the rogue settlement, Ben and I managed to grab the Rogue King’s second we took him to the Cells.
Walking down the stairs to the hallway I am met by Ben, as we enter the hallway we are hit with the stench, the stench of rogues. They gain a very identifiable scent and this lot being together it seems to have gotten a lot stronger.
At the end of the hall two heavy set guards stand at the door of the High Security Cells, only our strongest guards get guard duty on these cells to keep them secure.
Passing through the doors, the stench getting stronger as we come to the cell containing him!
The Rogue King’s second is just hanging against the wall, as he looks at me I can’t help the strongest feeling of De Ja Vue as I look at him, with that I step before him surveying him, looking at him more intently. His eyes watch me, they watch me with familiarity for a blink, then they look at me knowingly.
“So, who are you? Why did your boss take Rhylee?” I ask, not giving him a chance to do or say anything until I get my answers.
Licking his lips he smiles, it’s sickening but I manage to keep the bile down for the moment, although I don’t know how long that will continue.
It seems like a long time before he opens his disgusting mouth. I still don’t know why he looks like he is half transitioned, just like his Rogue King boss making their bodies appear disproportionate.
“Mmmmmmm, young Rhylee, Mmmmmm, now she does look a lot like her mother doesn’t she?” he said all the while licking his lips, everything about him is sickening making me more and more angry. Right now, I need answers, as much as I would like to rip his throat out, I need to exercise some restraint.
Gritting my teeth, I can’t help the growl that reverberates around the cell. “What do you and your boss want with my daughter?” I growl out, feeling Balka close.
Again with a lick of his lips he changes his look and now he wears a mask of boredom, not seeming to want to participate in the conversation, but like it or not I want answers!
“I said, Wha…….” I am stopped by the rogue talking over me, my aura beginning to crackle around me. “Yeah, Yeah, I heard you, what do we want with Rhylee?” he mocked but now he was staring directly at me.
“Well you see Alpha Brad, we want Rhylee for? The Rogue King can use her, he wants her to bear his heir so that he can make a claim on his rightful rule.” he said seeming pleased with himself.
“What? No! You cannot have my daughter, she is not his mate, and she will not want anyone but her mate. Which she has found!” I managed to say, although I am still shocked by his words.
“Oh, but Alpha, just ask her who is taking her to the Ball, and as the Ball is for finding, meeting or taking mates, he will mark her then.” he taunted.
“BE QUIET!!! I should end you right now!” My anger and fury are peaking through right now, this rogue and his boss are not getting their hands on Rhylee.
With his few taunted statements, the asshole has decided to keep his mouth shut now, attempting to keep quiet.
Before I realise, I swing my fist and collide with his jaw, leaving him spitting blood. My temper soaring again, and I swing again and this time I hear the satisfying crack as my fist collides with his nose, the crunching of bone oddly glorious at that moment.
Ben grabbing my arms and pulling me away, his action being the action that pulled me back to reality.
“Brad, We need answers from him not for you to beat the mongrel into a bloody pulp.” Ben said quietly before letting me go again. I hadn't realised that I had torn my shirt off my body coated in splatterings of blood from the times my fist collided with the bastard.
“ You are having NOTHING to do with My daughter! She is going to the ball with her mate, NOT you!" I yelled at the rogue before me, keen to ensure he understands.
"Oh, but alpha, Whatever will you do when she looks for him at the Ball, expecting he will be there for her, to take her to the dance floor and show her exactly what she has been missing out on!” the asshole spluttered out, blood now running down his chin and dribbling onto the floor.
I really want to kill him but even Balka is hesitant, concerned about what they may have done to Rhylee to ensure she is pulled to him.
"If you wont answer me about Rhylee, then tell me who you are, and how you know anything about my family, and my LUNA?"
Knowing I am really struggling with the situation before me, Ben moves closer, more directly in my sight, catching my eye, with a supportive glance, making sure I don't lose control again.
“Hmmm! Well that's a story in itself
