" Do we know each other Miss?" Mason asks, a sly smile plastered on his lips.

I don't think twice before dragging him away to my car. I force him into the front passenger seat before circling to the other side.

When I am settled, I ignite the engine before driving away.

" What in the world are you doing here, Mason?" My voice come out in a tremble.

Showing himself in such a dangerous place? What was he thinking?

He is the Alpha of the pack and if whoever we are dealing with has any connection with the council as we suspected, that simply means that he will be able to recognize Mason.

Maybe I am just paranoid but I know that it is better to be careful than sorry.

I won't allow my mates to expose themselves to danger to help me.

" I heard from Theo you were heading here so I came to help you." Mason answered in a straight face looking all serious.

" Help me? And how were you supposed to help me?" I reprimand.

Will he help me or land me into serious s**t.

If Lorenzo were you see me with another Man in the same place he comes to do his dirty business, I will not live to see other sun shine.

To cover his dirty secret, he won't hesitate to put a bullet straight into my heart.

Worse would be someone recognizing Mason, that would be disastrous, not only to me but to him too.

" What do you mean? If Theo can help you, why can't I?" Mason asks. I can feel the anger and jealousy in his words making me speechless.

" Theo is helping me but don't you realize that he must be in disguise to do that? This isn't about who can help me and who can't. I just don't want any of you getting into trouble because of me. This is my problem to deal with, I don't want you getting hurt." I reply.

I hope he can see beyond his jealousy and see my reasons. I do appreciate that he wants to help but why won't he realize that if helping me will put him in danger like he tried to do today, I will not appreciate it?

" You also have to realize that this is our problem as much as it is yours. I want you to get over this matter so that things can go back to how they are supposed to be. I can't seem to relax knowing that my mates are out there fighting the world while I remain safe in that pack. It doesn't matter what the reason is." Mason says and I close my eyes because he's right.

We are mates and mates share happiness just as much as they share their troubles.

" Okay, I understand but can you not pull a stud like that again? Disguise yourself the next time you want to help me." I finally concede, knowing that there's no way I can ever talk him out of it.

" Next time? Does that mean I am allowed to help you?" Mason asks, a smile gracing his lips.

Finally he was smiling.

Before I could answer,my phone rang.

I accepted the call, activating my Bluetooth since I was driving.

" Have you two made up?" Theo's voice greeted me immediately the call went through.

" Huh?" I found myself asking. Made up? With who?

"I'm talking about you and Mason? Have you patched things up?" He repeated making me frown.

" How do you know we fought?" I stupidly asked because just how? I did not tell him about it and I know Mason didn't. I did not see him mind linking anybody in the period we argued.

" Next time, block your emotions when you do it. You are giving me a migraine." With that he ended the call.

I turned to look at Mason with suspicion.

" What? I didn't tell him. I swear I didn't." Mason immediately defended himself seeing tbe accusatory face I was giving him.

" Then how?" I found myself mumbling.

Mason did not tell him,I did not tell him either so how the hell did he know about our little fight?

" You don't get it do you?" Mason asks with a mocking smile.

" Get what?" I snapped at him. What was so funny when I was confused myself?

" We are mates that means there is that special bond that exists between the three of us. It goes beyond the mindlink. It is forged When mates accept each other and proceed to mate. After that, they can feel each other's emotions. That means that when we argued, Theo could feel each of our emotions." Mason explained in details.

"Oh! So that's it? Guess I have a lot to learn about being a werewolf." I commented.

I have been ignorant about learning more about werewolves because at first,I was unwilling to accept who I am. I was hell-bent on going back to my old life.

But now, things have changed. I have come to accept and embrace who I am. My mates are the main reason I finally came to this decision.

I am willing to stay because I want to have a life with my soulmates.

" Don't worry, when you come back to the pack, I will arrange a teacher for you. She will teach all that you need to know." Mason said, grinning mischievously.

" I don't need a teacher, I can learn on my own." I reply, driving to park the car outside Tessa's house.

Since Mason is here, there's no way we can spent the night here.

Alighting from the car, we make our way to where my racer bike was parked.

" Pass the keys to me,I'll drive." Mason offered.

Without hesitation, I did as I instructed.

As a woman,I allow myself to be pampered and cared for by my mates.

Infront of them, I can be that pitiful woman who needs a knight in shining armor to save her. But that's only if the knight is my mate.
