Chapter 9
Monday and Tuesday Benny had trouble focusing on his work. He ate lunch at his desk as usual but left his phone in his desk, taking that time to catch up on his work so no one would notice his lack of focus or a drop in his productivity.
Emily kept messaging him and he ignored what he could, responding with the shortest answers he could get away with. Why does she keep messaging me? Doesn’t she have anything better to do?
