Moon then shifted, so she could try to outrun them. And ran in the other direction. As she ran, she frantically searched for a way out. She'd heard horror stories about the ' The Thunder Pack. And she was scared. The howling and growling seemed to be all around her, and so close. A rush of hope went through her. She noticed a path to her left, she quickly took it. Panting, sweating, and scared. She raced forward, looking back to see how close they were. She saw one of them, shifting back into human form. The last thing she heard was a woman yelling. "Watch out!" When she turned back around, it was too late. Next thing she knew she was airborne. She screamed, and then everything went black. Storm strung up. He knew some of the was pack chasing another werewolf. And Sara's mind linked him. And said, it was just alone were and not to waste his time coming out. But then he heard Sara yell. "Watch out!" and female blood-curdling scream. Sara wasn't responding to his mind link now. So he minds link some of the pack and told them to meet him out front. Once outside, he followed Sara's and the other pack members' scent. They raced in that direction. Heart pounding in his ear, he worried something was wrong. Storm saw them first, Sara was on her stomach leaning over the cliff. While the four males, at her sides peered over. " What's going on?" Storm asked. A female werewolf went off over the edge. I tried warning her, but it was too late. She's not moving, I'm worried. I think we scared her coming after her. I feel so guilty. Storm didn't have time to comfort her. He went to the edge and started making his way down the cliff. When he got down there. He noticed her face was covered by her hair. He could barely make her out. That's when he noticed it was a moonless night. Taking out his phone, he turned on the flashlight. Leaning it against the cliff. Turning back to her, he knelt next to her. He gently removed her hair, from her face. She looked familiar, but the light from his phone was still a bit dim. He went about examining her as best he could. Yell up. " Her breathing is shallow and her pulse is weak, we need to get her to the doctor as soon as possible. They made a makeshift lift, to get her up. Once up there, Storm gently scooped her into his arms. She was light as a feather and petite. He and the other pack members quickly made their way back home. Storm took her to one of the guest rooms. As he laid her down, her hair slid off her face. Hair dark as night. That face. He gasped. It was the girl from the mall. Even unconscious, her beauty still mesmerized him. He stood there motionless, just staring. "Get a grip man." He scolded himself. Thankfully, the doctor lives on the grounds. The storm sent one of the Beta's for her. Shortly after, she came rushing through the doors. " Where is she?" The doctor asked. Storm pointed over to the bed. She went over the cliff Doc. Poor dear, she said. Please step outside, while I examine her. It seemed to take forever before the doctor came back out. Storm paced back and forth. Sara had a knowing smile, as she watched him. But said nothing. The guest room doors came open, out came the doctor. She's in stable condition. She broke a few ribs, along with her left leg and some scrapes and bruises. And lastly, a minor concussion. She needs rest, and someone needs to feel these as soon as possible. She handed Alpha Storm a prescription. She'll need them when she wakes up. I gave her something, for now, to take the edge off. He walked her to the door and thanked her. Grabbing his keys, he said over his shoulder he'd be back soon. He got into his car and headed to the twenty-four-hour pharmacy. It took him about ten minutes to make it there. Thankfully it was late and barely any customers. He made it to the counter, and the pharmacist was a family friend. The doctor had called ahead. To fill them in on what was going on. Which was great, since he didn't possess her id or insurance card. He paid for them and rushed back out to the car. He was trying to make it back before she woke up. Outside, traffic was light. Another plus. So he rived his engine and too off. Moon woke up in excruciating pain. Every part of her hurt. It felt like, someone was pounding on her head with a hammer. And punched her in the ribs with some actual hulk sized fist. Her leg and head throbbed, she wanted to cry. She looked around but had no idea where she was. Sniffing the air, she stiffened. Which made the pain so much worse She forced herself to relax. The scent was from the wolves that were chasing her. But she couldn't move to save her own life. Is it possible they're not as bad as people say? She'd been bandaged and cleaned up. Suddenly she heard the doorknob. Shutting her eyes, she turned away from the door. And pretended to be still asleep. The door was opened and shut quietly. She listened and heard a bag rustling, and placed it somewhere near her. She smelled the faint scent of musk. It was a pleasant smell. Suddenly a deep voice startled her, asking if she was awake? She jumped. Sorry I didn't mean to scare you, came the voice. You're safe here, and I've brought you medicine for pain. Opening her eyes, she turned toward the voice and winced in pain. "Thank you." She said. "My pleasure." Storm said as he held her eye contact. Neither could seem to look away.
