The girls entered school with time to spare. They headed down the hall to the bathroom. Opening the door, standing at the mirror was Moon's best friend, Elaine. Hey girls! " She said to them. "Hey." Moon replied. Sun walked over to the mirror, checked her hair and makeup. Then made her way to the door. See you guys later. Both girls looked her way, and at the same time said. Byeeee! Turning back toward the mirror, that's when Elaine noticed tiredness on Moons' faces. Rough night? Moon sighed and shook her head. She'd told everyone, but Elaine the nightmares had long since stopped. She grew tired of the constant questions about that night. She said she had no memory of it, outside of the screams. The doctor even explained that she'd lost her memory of that night. It may have been the trauma of that night or the head injury. Yet no one believed her. No one except Sun and Elaine. Sun help being among the pack more bearable. She'd defend if anyone got in her face. Or dared to say she was lying. She loved Sun dearly. Yet she kept the nightmares from her. Elaine threw her arm around Moon's neck and gave her a reassuring squeeze. They then headed out to the class. The school day goes by rather quickly. After which, the girls meet up at their usual spot. Since neither of them has to work, they decide to head to the 'The Enchanted Mall.' To shop for dresses for the pack's mating ball. Shortly after entering the mall, Sun notices a group of her friends. Marsha, her best friend beckons on over. I'll catch you guys later okay? By ye! Moon and Elaine continue through the mall and discuss next week. "So, are you ready to meet your mate next week Moon"? Elaine asks. They'd be walking arm and arm. The moon suddenly stops. Am not going. "Wait, what?!" Elaine said a little louder than she intended. Heads turned their way. She rolled her eyes, grabbed Moon's arm. And pulled her away from the staring crowd. She lowered her voice. " What the hell are you talking about Moon?" Elaine demanded. Moon gave her a sheepish grin. Iced Coffee? My treat. Elaine Nodded. Moon leads the way to the food court. The meeting had adjourned, and Storm headed toward the front door. Once in the lobby, he found Sara at her desk. "I'm heading out to grab a bite, care for anything?" He asks her. "Caesar salad." She says over her shoulder. Storm makes his way outside to his car. Once inside, he heads toward, Enchanted Mall. It only takes him twenty minutes to arrive. He makes his way to the food court. As usual, there's a long line. He takes out his phone and strolls through the news, only mildly interested. Explain? There's nothing really to explain. I'm leaving the pack. I'm not wanted, nor needed here. Everyone hates me and I'm tired of being blamed. For something, I'm not even sure I did. I'm just tired of being tolerated and unloved. Elaine shook her head empathically. I can't say I understand, but I support your decision. You know I love you and will miss you terribly. Moon throws her arms around her in an embrace. Thank you. Alpha Storm was looking around, as he waited to place his order. He spied two women hugging. For some reason, the scene caught his attention. The one facing him had short curly hair. But what held his attention, was the one facing away from him. Her hair was unrealistically black. He'd never seen anything like it. She turned in his direction, and her beauty was mesmerizing. Jet black hair hung beyond her shoulders, full pouty lips. She started smiling at something the other girl said. Her smile made his heart hitch. Get a hold of yourself. He thought out loud. Luckily no one heard him. He physically had to shake himself, to turn away. "OMG!" Exclaimed Elaine. Isn't that Alpha Storm? Moon turned and looked. Yes. "He is so hot." Yes he is, both girls said. And started to giggle. He's starting this way, and the girl I think he's starting at you. "Ha!" Moon said. He could have just about any girl he wants. I'm not buying it, Elaine. You're not any girl. You're special. Elaine changed the subject. Would it change your mind, going to the ball? If you knew for sure Alpha Storm would be your mate? Moon's eyes grew wide. "Hell yeah!" Moon said excitedly. But we both that'll only happen in my dreams... She'd been crushing on him since she was sixteen. Her sun and moon set on him. They finished up their drinks. And made their way out of the food court. Storm noticed them getting up to leave. He noticed Moon's petite lean frame as she stood up. He swallowed hard. The outfit she wore slightly hugged her curves. He watched the sway of her hips as she walked away. His body immediately started to react. Sir, umm sir your food is ready. Storm turned around embarrassed he'd been caught staring. She is beautiful, isn't she? Yeah, Storm smiled sheepishly. He grabbed his food and waved goodbye. They continue walking around the mall a while longer. After which, they made their way home. On the way, Moon made small talk. Within an hour, they'd made it back. After coming through the door, they headed to their rooms to clean up for dinner. Entering the dining hall most of the pack was now seated around the table enjoying dinner. The chat around the table was centered on next week's ball. Hey Moon? Elizabeth said snidely. Moon thought to herself. "Here we go." Are you ready to meet your mate next week? Sure, but I didn't know your daddy would be there. Elizabeth growled and bared her teeth. Moon and E(9Enough! Sun commanded. Can we please eat in peace? Elizabeth rolled her eyes but knew it was better to shut up.
