“You should have seen it!” Cilla exclaimed as she paced back and forth in the carpet in front of Allegra and Milena. “It was disgusting. He’s using those women for goodness knows what, but it doesn’t take a genius to see what his motivation there is. We saw half a dozen. Who knows how many others there are?”
Allegra followed her best friend’s frantic form, but added nothing to what she said. The other woman clearly needed to get everything off of her chest. The first thing she decided to do when they got to the castle was seek Milena out. It was obvious that Vladislav did not plan on doing anything, so she wanted to get help from wherever she could. Allegra could see that the King had washed his hands of the entire situation when Cilla blatantly diverted away from their agreed-upon course
