A Mission to Unleash

Amelia had left, bringing with her some grains and a cup filled with nuts. It served as her payment for the information that she had laid in Howard. Precisely, she earned the trust of Alejandro, knowing that he’s a little picky when in terms of having connections. Alejandro had trusted a few and I am somehow thankful that I am one of those. It has never been easy to make him have faith in me when I was known for being a stabber and someone who loves to leave a person hanging even if a negotiation is set. I live by my terms and Alejandro doesn’t have any barriers to that. “Where is she going?” Amelia hadn’t let me know where she is living. She just talked about her will and that’s it. She’s so skilled in twirling the topic around with her lovely words. “She’s going to her home. She doesn’t want to move around when it's daylight, since it would take time for her to camouflage with those bushes or those who’re infected.” Alejandro replied and took his jacket. The woman had forgotten her shoal on the chair. He was about to grab it when my hand had stretched to hold it first. “I’ll take it.” “Oh…Okay, I’m sure you would find her some way or another.” “Don’t you know her residence as well?” “Yeah.” He took a yawn and wiped off his teary eyes. “She never discloses her personal stuff especially her hideous since she's not fond to . She prefers to be anonymous in the best way that she could. She loves to stay out of sight.” “How did you know her?” “Just referrals. One of her acquaintances knew me and in a meeting once, before you become an official member of the Howard, Amelia was taken here to observe as it was still fresh that she took herself out from Trinity. She’s looking around, finding ways. She tried to team up or work with our group, but then, she had found out that she could live on her own without depending on something or someone. Until then, time could tell when we will meet her again. But for sure she would be here in any day since we just got an agreement." He walked towards the way leading to his room. "Let's talk later. I want to rest. You should do to." "You just got an hour to do that." I reminded him. He didn't budge and just waved his hand at me and directly closed the door. I looked around and there was no one around but me. The lookouts were in their specific spots and the cooks have also rested in their rooms. I glimpsed at the living room. The television had been murky as it can't be opened and its under control. I finished another glass of water and took the shoal and went to the attic It is the only set that is not spiky on my nostrils. I gently arranged at the edge of my bed and I slumped myself enough to get such solitude to stare over the rusted roof. I still need to continue watching over those three. Having a feeling that I'll be able to unlock the mystery by myself, I closed my eyes to rest for some minutes. Those noises from the outside have been our daily background. Screeching of walls and arms have relaxed me, but then this time I couldn't find myself having to rest more. I raised and sat over the edge. Fiddling my toes, I decided to change my clothes as I thought that Amelia had transferred her scent to me. It gave me shivers if it's a fact. Taking the shirt that is so close to me, I wore it. "Finding that weapons will be suicidal." I whispered. ___ MEANWHILE IN TRINITY "Is everything ready?" Captain John asked Captain Roswal who's engaged in packing those folders containing those test results. He's going to report it to the head. "In a minute. Is the vehicle working well?" "Unlucky, we had to travel by foot to the Circle. All the vehicles are not working well and we don't want to be stranded in the middle of the road. Also, Catheryne told me.that their numbers have multiplied. So we have to expect that some of those streets that we're about to pass will be filled with them." "We have to extinguish them immediately. We just got a day to deliver everything." He added and zipped his bag. Captain Roswal with a smiling face, being optimistic for this day, had faced him. He patted his head and moved to get his shoes. They're currently in his office and they're planning to move out at six. They are currently busy when Isabela had entered without any permission. "I'm going with you." She bluntly said. All packed and ready. Captain John looked at her from head to toe. He slowly shook his head to disapprove. "You're not going." "And why not? I am his daughter. I have the right to visit my own father." She stood firm, holding the strap of her back tight. "Isabela..." "My decision is final. I promise you, I will not be a hindrance to your transaction and I will keep my mouth shut. I just really want to see him." Her eyes were pleading and it had surely melted the man's emotions. "I also fixed one of the cars, so we can travel fast." It gave her the greater opportunity for them to say yes and when they did, they didn't know that Isabela is not the only one who is coming with them. At the back of the car, Dr. George, Catheryne, Dr. Victoria and Mildred have hidden themselves under a used, crumpled tarpaulin. "You better pray that this will work out well." Mildred whispered to Catheryne, now starting to sweat. "I know. If everything will go mishandle, we'll take plan b." Catherine replied. "Another adventure....yah." Dr. George tried to cheer but it came out more like a joke. "Let's just hope we won't get caught or it would be a disaster for Isabela herself..." Dr. Victoria told. She has been well after a couple of days of resting and now she had decided to come with them, since she's also a part of the mission. The four of them are trying their best to remain calm even in their verge of panic. When they heard the vehicle open and the seats have been occupied, they took a deep breath together. "This is it..."
