All action aboard the Gianna Maria had come to a halt. Even the obscenities and other shouts had dropped to an eerie silence. Virtually everyone on the ship stood along the starboard and stared out at the water in disbelief.
Gianna Maria Along with the crew, Heather had watched in amazement as the killer whales had attacked the nets and freed the dolphins. The whales apparently weren’t intent upon food, because they immediately took off in the other direction. Heather couldn’t believe it, since she thought the whole purpose in the attack was so the whales could get at the dolphins.
As far as the crew was concerned, the fate of the dolphins was irrelevant, anyway. Only the status of the nets was important, as well as what might still be inside. They were still hoping for a full hau
