Chapter 18
The Funeral
Upon returning to Wyoming, the Church and congregants had begun the preparations for Sarah's funeral. The Church had donated the money for her burial and decided to have a natural burial on a high ridge overlooking the mountains for her. They chose a burial plot for her in a beautiful pasture next to a large, old tree.
The Pastor's assistant constructed a large tent and placed it on top of Sarah's plot. They rolled a red floral carpet on the ground and put rows of metal folding chairs. They took the Church's podium and placed it in front of the chairs. Maggie donated a bouquet of pink roses and a large floral wreath on a wire, metal stand, to the sad event.
