Cesar sat near a window in his room, gazing at the packhouse workers tending to the lawn, when Braxen appeared.
"You are not looking very well, old man," Braxen laughed menacingly. Cesar scrambled out of his chair and kneeled to Braxen.
"Please, I was feeling better for a while, but it seems she is becoming stronger. I need help. Is there no other way for me to live?" Cesar pleaded, looking up at the demon.
