The Rouge and The Prince

Chapter 4

We walked up to the door and up to the security guard. He smiled at me and said, “I recognize you, you’re the rogue that hunts the other rogues. We call you the silent hunter around here. The alpha talks about you all the time and how you keep the rogues in line. You must know this rogue king guy, right?” I sighed and smiled politely before replying, ``That is me, but I don’t know the ‘Rogue King’ and I am going to find out who he is and why he has been attacking, but I am not here for that tonight. My twin siblings just turned 18 and we are looking at having some fun.” He smiled and said, “Tell the bartenders that Rick said to pay for your first two rounds for their birthday and the mighty silent hunter. You saved my daughter last month from a rogue, the little blonde girl.” I smiled, remembering the sweet little girl and when Alpha Marcus asked for our help in hunting down the rogue.

I found the rogue with the help of Jackson and we got information out of him before we decided if we would let him live. The rogue said that he was going to take the little girl to the rogue king and that the rogue king would be taking all the children from the packs one at a time. I wasn’t sure why he would want to take the children from their parents or who he was, but after we got information out of the rogue, we killed him.

We entered the club and told the bartender what Rick had said at the door. She was shocked for a moment and then said, “I can’t believe I am meeting the silent hunter. That is so crazy. I have to tell the other bartenders. I bet your drinks will be free all night if people find out who you are!” Jade liked the idea. I could tell immediately that she wanted the attention, but I wasn't one for attention and neither was Jackson. We just looked at each other and ordered whiskey shots before finding a table.

I was talking to Jackson about where we could go for their first shift tomorrow night since it will be their first full moon at 18, when I smelled the forest and cinnamon scent again. I looked around , but nothing caught my eye and a girl walked up to the table carrying a tray full of different shots. I looked at her confused and she said, "They are from Alpha Marcus and his family. Alpha Marcus's daughter is here with the prince of the kingdom and I think she is trying to show off that she knows the silent hunter." I smiled and Jackson said thank you to the girl. I looked at him and said, "Have you found a girl that might be your mate yet?' He blushed softly and before he could answer, Jade came back to the table from the dance floor with a blonde girl and a tall male that radiated an alpha aura.

Jackson and I stood up and the girl said, "Silent hunter, I hope you like all these drinks. I heard it's your birthday and you brought your sisters to party with you." She smiled flirtingly at Jackson and rubbed his arm. Jackson looked at her confused and said, "I don't know who you are or who you might be trying to impress, but if you knew anything about the silent hunter, then you would know that Ember is the silent hunter and not me." Her head snapped to me. She was shocked and I stepped towards the couple, looking into her eyes. The scent of forest and cinnamon surrounded me now, as I looked at the tall man next to her and found the scent was him. I turned back to her before I let my eyes linger for too long and said, "I am the silent hunter and you must be Alpha Marcus's daughter. I haven't heard much about you, but I'm sure there's a lot to tell." The man next to her chuckled and she was pissed.

Jackson grabbed my arm and the man growled before saying, "Don't touch my mate." I looked at him shocked, taking in his short black hair, the wolves tattooed all around his arms, his emerald green eyes, and his large 6'5" muscled frame. I felt fire throughout my body as he grabbed my hand. "My name is Ember, also known as the silent hunter." I barely got my sentence out as his eyes raked over my body seductively. "My name is Aiden, also known as Lycan Prince Aiden. I have been traveling the packs to find my mate and here you are a rogue in a bar that hunts other rogues. Interesting."
