The Rouge and The Prince

Chapter 2

6 months later

I sighed before getting out of bed smelling food cooking in the kitchen. I made my way to the bathroom in the small cabin and started the shower, hoping that jade didn't use all the hot water. I quickly stripped down and got in thinking about what I had to do today. Due to the increase in rogue attacks, the surrounding packs don't want to let rogue wolves into their territories. Some of the packs have even started attacking rogues or taking them hostage on sight to try to get information on the new attacks. The word around the rogues is that there is a new leader rising up and calling himself the "Rogue King." I am just hoping that my previous plan with the Winter Moon pack and Alpha Marcus doesn't change.

I turned the water off after washing myself and dried myself before wrapping the towel around my body and making my way back to my room. I bumped into Jackson's shoulder walking down the hallway and he looked over my head before mumbling sorry. My relationship with the twins quickly turned into our little family. Tomorrow the twins turn 18 and hopefully they can find their mates soon. I know that Jade would love to find a mate that sweeps her off of her feet. I arranged their birthday night on the Winter Moon territory at one of the bars. I now have to get dressed and request a meeting with the Alpha to make sure that my plans are not going to be ruined due to these attacks.

I walked to my dresser and put on a pair of bellbottom denim jeans, a long sleeve red shirt, my converse and a red and black plaid shirt over the top. I fixed my hair into braided low pigtails before grabbing my phone and heading to the kitchen. Jade eyed me before she said,"Where are you going? That isn't your everyday hunting outfit and all you do is hunt for big game and rogues anymore." Jackson chuckled before he decided to butt into the conversation too. "No Jade, she also trains to fight rogues every day, like they are going to show up at our door." I growled softly before I replied to, "If you must know I have somewhere to go before your birthday surprise tomorrow. Unless you want to keep criticizing my outfits and daily living tasks. I could always cancel my surprise, you two brats." Jackson feigned a hurt expression and Jade laughed so hard she almost fell out of her chair.

I rolled my eyes before walking out of the door. I walked to the shed grabbing my bow and quiver, putting them across my back before beginning my hike towards the Winter Moon territory. Once i arrived at the edge of the border, I heard the warrior patrol coming to my location. I put my bow and quiver down so they knew i could be trusted before they approached me. Three large wolves appeared, a gray wolf shifted before he put on his pants and said, "What are you doing here rogue?" The dark brown and light brown wolves anxiously waited for my response. I held my hands up and said, "I request an audience with Alpha Marcus. We had a previous deal and I just want to make sure that the deal still stands." He nodded before the mind linked with his alpha, we stood waiting until the alpha arrived and i bowed in his presence.

Alpha Marcus was a taller slender man, but still muscular and larger than some of the regular wolves. He shifted from his sand-colored wolf into his human form. He stands around 6'1" with blonde hair and brown eyes, he is an attractive man and we recently had business together concerning the number of rogues attacking. I brought the subject to his attention to gain his trust and help me gain information on the attacks. He smiled a cheeky grin and said, "Young Ember the rogue, what can I do for you today? Is this about attacks or about you gaining entry into the territory?" I smiled back before saying, "A pleasure to see you, Alpha Marcus, I was wanting to make sure our deal for tomorrow still stands and I can travel with my siblings into the territory for their 18th birthday tomorrow night." He nodded and I could tell he was mind linking with his pack, "Anyone that comes with you tomorrow is welcomed, but don't ruin this opportunity that I'm giving you. I told all of the guards that you are allowed on the territory tomorrow because you have been my eyes and ears in the rogue world." I nodded and replied with a quick thank you before grabbing my weapons and making my way back home. I know the twins will be excited tomorrow.
