The Heavenly Kingdom
The Celestial Kingdom sparkled with divine light, a place of harmony and splendor where every being radiated infinite purity. Towers of gold rose to the pearly skies, brushing against silky clouds that shimmered in the eternal light of the Supreme Master. Everywhere resounded soft songs, carried by crystalline voices, as rivers of light meandered between the hanging gardens with luminescent flowers.
At the top of the divine palace, two young men stood facing the vast expanse of the Kingdom.
One, Gabriel, shone with a peaceful aura. His eyes, as deep blue as the immensity of the heavens, reflected wisdom and benevolence. Her silver hair caught the light and gave it an almost mystical look. His bearing was noble, worthy of the beloved son of the Supreme Master.
The other, Adrien, was a disturbing contrast. His finely chiseled features might have reflected the same majesty, but a shadow resided within him. His amber eyes, piercing and ardent, carried an insatiable flame. His bearing was more rigid, marked by a certain pride.
Gabriel looked out over the human world, a sweet smile floating on his lips. One scene had captured his attention: a young woman, near a fountain on earth, was laughing while playing with children.
"She is beautiful, is she not?" he murmured, thoughtfully.
Adrien turned his head, following his adoptive brother's gaze.
"What?" A simple human? he whispered, contemptuously.
Gabriel does not react to his brother's sting. He continued to observe the young woman, his features lighting up with infinite sweetness.
"Her name is Lea..."
Adrien rolled his eyes, crossing his arms over his chest.
"Why are you so interested in them?" We are above them, Gabriel. They are weak, ignorant and ephemeral.
Gabriel turned his head towards him, a touch of sadness in his eyes.
"That is precisely why we must watch over them."
Adrian sneered.
"Still as naïve."
A silence settled between them. Then Gabriel sighed and looked back at the young woman.
"She is different. There is a rare purity in her, a light that I have not seen in any other human.
Adrien shook his head.
"You're wasting your time with these trivialities.
He turned on his heel and walked away, leaving Gabriel alone with his thoughts
In the great hall of the Divine Palace, the Supreme Master sat on a throne of pure light. His presence filled the air with benevolent authority, and his wise gaze contemplated his two sons.
“Gabriel, my son, your love for humans does not falter.”
Gabriel bowed respectfully.
“Father, they have so much to learn, so much to offer… But their world is torn apart by suffering.”
The Master nodded gently.
“And you, Adrien?”
Adrien crossed his arms, his chin raised.
“We are meant to rule, not to stoop to their level.”
A silence weighed on the room. The Supreme Master stared at Adrien with a slight sadness in his gaze.
“My son… I took you in as one of our own, and I never made a difference between you and Gabriel. But your heart is hardening.”
Adrien clenched his fists.
“Because you do not see what I see.” We have the power to rule, and yet you limit yourself to observing!
Gabriel placed a soothing hand on his brother's shoulder.
"We are not meant to dominate, but to protect."
Adrien pulled away violently.
"I do not want this life of passivity!"
The Supreme Master sighed deeply, a weight seeming to weigh on his soul.
"Adrien, beware of the darkness that creeps into you."
Without another word, Adrien turned on his heel and left the room, leaving behind him a palpable tension.
Gabriel looked at his father, worried.
"What will happen now?"
The Supreme Master lowered his head, murmuring like a prophecy.
"The stars are shaking, my son."
Gabriel shivered. He did not yet understand the significance of these words, but deep down, he knew that a great upheaval was about to begin.
