I noticed that lilly looked surprised to see the weapon i had chosen but when i asked her about it she completely changed the subject saying she was hungry and when ever i brought up the subject she would find a different excuse so for the rest of the day, lilly dragged me around there little village and showed me all of the ‘cool’ spots. she took me to a waterfall that flowed backward after someone gasped and pointed at my sword in the marketplace. There where what I could only call mermaids in the river but these mermaids weren't colorful like in the movies on earth there tails where storm gray and there eyes solid white like there hair. Lilly said they where blind because in the water where they live there's no sun so they have no need for vision instead they have a form of echo location. The mermaids where nice but they did not talk with words, they spoke straight into your mind. When the first mermaid said hello it scared me because there voices aren't sweet and song like but almost demonic. By the time we got back to the fortress (Lilly called it, Selene, the northern fortress) the two suns had disappeared from the sky, and in their place were three beautiful moons each the same blush pink color. And there were twice as many stars in the sky than on the earth. And each star seemed to have a different color. (it was like those glitter videos that went viral on earth for some reason.)Lilly led my half-asleep body to the room I had woken up in this morning. She pulled the covers down and laid me on the bed I was asleep the second my head hit the soft pillow.

I was woken by the early morning sun shining through the bay window. I hadn't really had the chance to look at the room i hope will be mine for a while. The walls were a soft cream color with tiny green flowers. The floors even though they're purple Edwin it cold to the touch when I pulled the blanket down and walked over to the dresser. Wasn't sure if there were any actual clothes in the dresser but it was worth a shot to see. In the top drawer there was undergarments with a note sitting on top

"I checked your size while you where.

I carefully folded the note back up and put it under a pair of lace shorts. I wasn't sure what to wear to combat training till I saw a piece of paper sitting on top of a pile of deep forest green garments. It was a note from ember with two words

"Wear this"

She was so demanding. Rolling my eyes I marched to the bathroom adjacent to the room. Ok so who knew that fighting gear was 1. Hard to put on and 2. So f*****g tight. I stopped and looked in the full length mirror. the green brought out the color of my hair making it look like it's on fire instead of it usual auburn shade. I smoothed my hair back in to a high ponytail and walked out the room well strapping my sword to my hip.
