Epilogue: Alex At some point, Mallory and I were going to have to discuss our living situation. I knew she loved living with Wembley, and he was gone a lot between overnights with Mallory’s mother and whichever house flip project he was working. We had enough privacy. Most of the time. What we didn’t have was a shared home. I wanted that. She did, too. But it was too soon, and we had time. I could be patient. For Mallory, I could be better. I could be more. I wanted to be my best self for her. And on that topic, I had to figure out what in the world she wanted with this whole Valentine’s Day redo date. I pulled into her driveway and put the car in park. She saw me in a way that no one else did. In her eyes, I was perfect. I was good at everything. I knew how to do everything.
