Sunny P.O.V. "Sunny, sweetheart, get up," I heard my uncle and my aunt say. It's just me and him, my aunt, and my little sister Nellie, because 10 years ago our parents died when we were running away from the vampire king and his men. They always wanted my father's land, but he refused to let them take it and tell him what to do. But knowing him and my mother fought for their life. I sighed. I closed my eyes, thinking what if we go back to that awful night ten years ago? I felt a tear running down my cheek, thinking about the death of my mother and my father. If I hadn't run off, they would be alive right now with me and my sister. They are dead because they went out looking for me and got killed because of me, and the vampire would never have killed my mom and my father. I will never forgive myself for the death of my parents and also the pack. They hate me because I caused danger and didn't listen to the pack's leader. But knowing it was my fault, my uncle, aunt, and my sister still love me, and they don't blame me for their death. I sighed, and I don't deserve their love or the privilege of being my uncle and aunt, niece, and sister. "Sunny," we were calling your name, and you didn't say anything." My aunt Loura said with a condescending look on her face, and I looked beside her. I saw the same expression on both my uncle Bryan's and my sister Nellie's faces. I looked up and saw my aunt, uncle, and sister staring at me. "Oh, sorry, you guys, I guess I zoned out," I told them. I didn't want them to know I was thinking that awful night back 10 years ago. "Well, I see that is happening a lot lately." My aunt said with a smile on her beautiful face. She is a split image of my mother, but she has red hair, and my mother had platinum blonde hair, just like me and Nellie. We have her genres and her platinum blonde hair. "So, Sunny, are you excited about finding your mate? she said, hugging her mate, my uncle. I can see the love they have for each other. I want that just like them and my... I stopped because I was thinking about my parents. I don't want to be an emotional mess because I don't want my family to know I am an emotional mess, especially on my birthday. So I lied a little bit. What I am not lying. I am nervous about finding my mate. I started to think, and I heard my uncle say. "No! She isn't thinking about those horny hood dogs." And could not help but laugh. My aunt and my little sister joined me. I watch them with a smile on my face. They are great, and I am so lucky to have them, I thought. A few minutes.... "Have a good time, love you girls, and be safe." I heard my aunt Loura say. As we pulled out of the driveway with my new Jeep, I received an early gift a couple of weeks ago. I also got my license that week, too, before I got my jeep. I wanted to drive to the mall, take my baby for a spin, and show her off. Why not kill two birds with one stone? I need to get my shopping done for school and show off my jeep to the people. So that's what I am doing today, and bringing my sister too, so that she can get stuff for the first day of school too. So the best place to get stuff is at the mall. We're heading to the mall to pick up some things for my sister's first day of high school and my last year. I am excited that she'll be in the same school as me again. I don't have any friends, but it will be nice to finish my last year in school with my sister and best friend. So we started driving, and I bumped the horn. I looked back in my rearview window, and I saw both my aunt and uncle smiling, waving, and watching us drive off. By the time we arrived. The mall was packed. "Oh wow," I heard myself say. "Yeah, you're telling me." I heard Nellie say, looking shocked and wowed. We pulled up to the mall and I was shocked and fibergasted to see the parking lot was packed. "Geewiz, sis." I heard my sister say with a look of wow on her face. I know it was written on my face. But part of me wanted to leave and never come back, but instead, I didn't want to come back anytime soon. So I just opened my mouth to say that, but Nellie beat me to it. I don't know, should we come back tomorrow?" she said. Nah, let's go in and get this over with." I told her when I started parking, the spot was open up to the front of the door. What luck, I thought. I got somewhere closer. I turned off the jeep, unbuckled my seat belt, and opened the door. After closing and locking it up, I started walking inside the packed and busy mall. Three hours later... "Oh wow, I am going to look hot in my new pink dress for school tomorrow." I heard Nellie say, smiling, as she was holding up the beautiful pink dress with yellow daisies on it. I nodded, staring at it as I ate my fruit salad and Chinese food from the mall. We took a break and grabbed lunch at the food bar. I got my favorite rice and sweet terykai chicken with broccoli and carrots, and one egg roll. But Nellie got three slices of pizza. I swear I don't know where she puts it. I thought with a grin. She is already done with her food, but me, that's a different story. I eat slowly. Well, I like to enjoy what I am eating, I would tell my family. Why do you eat so slowly, Sunny?" she says. I rolled my eyes and stuck a spoonful of rice and chicken in my mouth. She shook her head and laughed. I was about to put another spoonful of that delicious, tasty rice and chicken. I stopped when I felt my mate inside the mall, and I stuck my nose in the air, closed my eyes, and breathed in his scent, and it made my mouth water. Mate! Mate! Mate! I heard seastar inside my mind going crazy. She needed her mate, and she was trying to shift into her wolf form. But I told her no. We need to stop and calm down. She listened to me. But I wasn't paying attention when I looked over, and I saw Nellie gone. "Where did she go? I thought. I need to go and find my sister before she does something stupid, just like last time we went to the mall. She started yelling and cursing at Sebastian's cousin, Caine, the last time we were here. I prayed to God that she wouldn't do anything stupid. But what I didn't know was that she was already in trouble when I caught up with her, and I saw her in the circle with my hands on her hips, glaring at Caine with murderous eyes. If looks could kill, he would be dead. I started walking toward them. But I have to squeeze between the people to get to my little angry sister. I feel sorry for the unlucky guy to be with you." I heard someone say, and a smack, then - "f**k!" a deep voice said. I got closer, and I saw my sister breathing heavy, and I saw Caine holding his cheek where my sister had smacked him. I kept close and pulled my sister close to check she wasn't hurt and was okay. She was, but before I started to speak, I heard him. "Calm your b***h down!" Sebastain told his cousin Caine. I gasped and smelt a delicious scent I had ever smelt. I was looking for my mate. "Mate! "Mate. "Mate, he's here." I heard Seastar say, jumping and wagging her tail. I gasped when I saw two pairs of piercing blue eyes staring back at me. I smiled, and I was starting to walk to him when I stopped when I saw him. Sebastin Cold Eyes Knightwood, my alpha's son. He is my mate! My childhood friend and now my bully. And I am standing face-to-face with the boy that I used to know and loved as my best friend when we were little pups. Now standing a man.
