A Chance to win her back

Ian's POV

Currently we are all seated in the living room of the Knight mansion with most of them glaring at me,except my mom and Isabella, while Vina was giving me a accusing glance.By all of us ,I meant The Knights ,De Luca family,David,Alan and Siyara who was sleeping on Alan's shoulders.

"How much do you want for a divorce?",dad asked angrily to David.

"I'm not divorcing her.Siya is my wife and I'm taking her back with me",David replied softly.

"There is no Siya here.She is my daughter Davina.And I know people like you... trying to be in the high society by trapping rich girls like my daughter.Are you not ashamed to claim my daughter as your wife?Men like you should cease to exist from this world",my dad responded rudely.

"Dad...He is rich and also a famous actor",I tried to defend David.

"So what Davian...still he is not rich as us and being an actor means he doesn't have a proper job just like you",my dad smirked at me.

All the while David was watching my cupcake lovingly while she just acted indifferent ignoring his presence.

"Listen Mr.King...Davina will get married to my friend's son Darian after you both are legally divorced.Don't think that I have kept Alexandro and his family in dark about Davina.Everyone present here knows how she was mistreated by you and your family.So better sign the divorce papers and leave from here before I change my mind and chop you into pieces",dad threatened David.

"You can do whatever you want,Mr.Knight,but I will never divorce my angel and I will never let her be away from me anymore",David replied stubbornly.

"How dare you ?After all you have put her through, still you have the audacity to come before my daughter and claim her to be your wife.I will not let that happen till I'm alive",Dad barked at him.

"Mr.Knight....You maybe her father,but I'm her husband and a husband has more right on his wife than a father has on his daughter.And I promise,this time I will keep her safe.Please try to understand",David pleaded as humbly as possible.

"You bastard...Stay away from my sister.My sister is not your property and stop dreaming that she will come with you ever.

Didn't you hear what my dad have said.Why don't you just go and die somewhere".Damien added angrily.

"Isa...please take Siyara upstairs",my mom requested Isabella to take a sleeping Siyara upstairs as everyone was cussing at each other without even considering that a child was present among them.

"Listen here you moron...better sign the divorce papers and f**k off from here as soon as possible.Or I have my own ways to make you do it",Damien glared at David.

"Are you trying to threaten me,brother in law.If you are... then you are doing a bad job at it.Because I'm David King and no one can threaten me.And here it concerns my world,my Siya.I will not back off even if I have to give up my life for her",David struggled hard to keep his rising anger on check but Damien was testing his patience.

"Brother in law...my foot...Look at yourself...claiming yourself to be my Vina's husband...Vina is younger than your b***h of a daughter.And now you have a new baggage in the form of that child Siyara.Do you want to take my Vina with you as that child's nanny",Damien fumed in rage.

"Damien" ,Davina called out looking painfully at him.

"Damien ...."My mom and Isabella who had just come downstairs after settling Siyara in her bedroom screamed his name in astonishment and anger.

"Damien,Is this what I have taught you?Don't you dare bring an innocent child in between your arguments".She scolded him.

"Mom,I'm sorry ...I don't want my Vina to go back to him.He doesn't deserve her.And Vina I didn't mean anything wrong,I'm sorry honeybun.Please forgive me",he said apologetically.

"Don't worry brother,I won't go back with him.But mom is right.Don't attack an innocent child for no fault of hers",Vina spoke for the first time.

"I'm disappointed in you Damien", Isa said with tears glistening her eyes and she looked away.

"Don't worry Mr.Knight,I know your concern, but Siyara is only my responsibility.I will not burden my angel with Siyara",David spoke painfully looking at Damien.

"I don't need your bloody assurance on anything.My sister is going to marry Rian when you divorce her.And I know Rian ,he is a gentleman and he loves my sister.He will wait until this divorce is finalized",Damien challenged him.

"Yes,I love her.But only as a friend,nothing more",Rian spoke looking at both the families.

"What do you mean by that Darian?,"Mr.De Luca asked him.

"I love someone else dad",he replied.

"How dare you betray us Rian?How could you do this to Davina?You know what she have gone through right?",Alexandro was furious.

"Dad...she knows...We both agreed to marry each other for our own benefits.And I'm sorry for being a coward",he said looking at the ground.

"What?"Mr.De luca was perplexed.

"But you could  have told us if you loved someone else.Why did you agree to marry her then?We are not some cruel parents who are against love marriage",Camille questioned him.

"I love Mike,mom...Mike Donato and I'm gay",he confessed looking away.

Both of his parents were shocked at the revelation while blood drained out of dad's and Damien's face.Mom looked shocked and turned towards Vina .

"Did you agree to this marriage knowing that Rian is gay?",mom angrily asked Davina.

"Mom...I ..."she cringed.

"Yes or no?"

"Yes mom...I knew ..."before she could complete it mom slapped her.

"Delilah...how dare you hurt my daughter?",dad yelled at my mom.

"Not today Nick...she is my daughter as well.And it's between a mom and daughter.I don't want you to interfere",she said harshly to dad.

"Both of you are reckless and irresponsible.I don't believe that you both decided to spoil your lives my taking such a stupid decisions.And trust me I don't want to hear any of your reasons",she was disappointed with both of them.

"I'm sorry mom.I-I..,"Vina tried to apologise but mom cut her off.

"And Rian...Being gay isn't the end of the world.It's just natural.And you are born like that and it's no sin.Have you heard the word communication?It's the most important thing in any relationship.You should have talked to your parents about this way before.They will understand you ,son.They are your parents and they will always love you.You should have trusted them before making such stupid decisions",mom urged Darian.

"I tried Lilah,but I was scared .I didn't want them to be humiliated because of me",Darian told his worries.

"Rian...I'm sorry son,I'm not a good mother.I failed to see your pain,son.Forgive me dear.I don't care about the world Alex,my son is more important to me",she said hugging him.

"And Vina...your mother is right..you both would have destroyed your lives with this decision.And thank God the wedding was cancelled.You are like a daughter to me Vina.I wouldn't want to destroy your life even if it was for friendship's sake.Take your decisions wisely from now onwards love",Rian's mom advised Vina.

"I will and I'm sorry Camille", Vina nodded apologetically.

"I'm sorry Nick...I didn't know that my strict behaviour with my son will make him take such a stupid decision",Alexandro told dad."I'm truly ashamed of my actions.Now I have to make things right for everyone.Dominique... We should cancel this wedding permanently",he said getting up."And Rian...we need to talk.Let's go home".

"Nick...let's talk about this later.We cannot blame our kids solely for this.We should equally be blamed.We shouldn't have forced them for this marriage",he said thoughtfully.

"Yes you are right.I can't blame them for what they have done",Dad said looking at Vina.

"Dad ...I'm sorry ..I didn't want to hurt you",Vina said looking guilt ridden for betryaing her dad.

"Vina...don't be gulity baby...I pressurised you.I shouldn't have blackmailed you emotionally  sweetheart.It's my fault as well.And don't cry now.I can't tolerate tears in your eyes my little bear",he said hugging her.

"Forgive me dad",she said sobbing.

"No...don't ...forgive me sweetie" ,he comforted her.

"Is it hurting?",he asked caressing her cheeks.

"No dad",she replied smiling at him.

"It's not your fault honey bun",Damien said cupping her face..."trust me it's not yours...we had been hard on you...that's why you took this decision.I am sorry Vina",he hugged her.

I rolled my eyes internally at the emotional scene because I know even if Vina kills someone,both my dad and Damien would say that it was not her fault.For them,pampering her was the only mission in their lives.

I saw my mom looking at the trio disapprovingly,which made a smile find it's way to my lips.My mom was a realistic woman and she had always taught us to be one as  well.She has never pampered any of us more than necessary and she hated spoiling her children.But dad and Damien were hell bent on spoiling Vina which really worried her.Because according to her giving everything to children as per their demand makes them spoilt brats.And she didn't want Vina to be one.

"Bye Vina...take care Sugar,Thank you for everything", Darian said kissing her cheeks while David glared at him.

"Bye Rian..everything will be alright...trust me..they will accept you and Mike soon",she said hugging Rian.

"I hope so and listen Sugar...he is really hot and you both are made for each other...And look at him ...he looks like a love sick puppy and I really think you should give a chance to your hot DILF",Darian whispered in Davina's ears,but I heard that because I was standing close to them.

"Get lost and he is not my husband",Davina glared at him.

"Whatever floats your boat,Sugar...But I know that's a lie and you two are bound to be together for eternity",he said before leaving while Davina rolled her eyes at him.

"Mr.Knight...this is a legal issue and we can take her to court",Alan spoke provoking dad and Damien.

"Stop it Alan...I'm not dragging my angel to court or anywhere...I will do anything to take her back with me",David said curtly to Alan.

"My daughter is off limits to you...understand  Mr.King.So you may please leave".Dad was annoyed.

"Dad ..what if Vina knows the truth..you can't hide it from her anymore",I said wanting to help David's cause.

"Ian ...stop threatening dad",Vina stopped me angrily.

"But cupcake you should know that David was framed that day and he was not involved in your murder attempt and also with Ashley".

"I know",she said coldly.

"What?",I was shocked.

"You knew and yet".

"What do you think?I'm my dad's life and he would never lie to me.He had already told me this.It was my decision to keep myself away from him and his toxic family.I don't love him nor anyone.That pathetic excuse of a girl was murdered that day and along with her all the past relationships also died.And this new person is Davina, who does not have any emotions left in her except for her family",she said cutting me off.

"And you Mr.King ...Please leave from here as soon as possible.Don't think that I'm that little pitiful girl who would jump on you confessing my undying love for you.Do whatever you want but I am never...never going back with you.Because for me ,my dad is more important to me than anyone else",saying this arrogantly she left before hearing him out.

"What did you expect son ?That I will hide something like this from my daughter so that she will hate me when she finds out the truth.You have underestimated your dad.I would never let a tiny drop of tear to be shed from her eyes.And she knows that too.That's why I told her the truth about this monster and it was her decision to stay away from him.Because maybe he is innocent ,but he and his family has murdered every soft emotions in her",he said smirking at me and David.

I was shocked to know that Vina had known the truth all along,yet she hated him.It was quite confusing for me as I didn't understand the reason for her hatred.

"So about the divorce...didn't you hear what Davina said?Grant her the divorce soon...or I will ruin your family.Do you want that Mr.King?.Don't make me do things I do not want to do",dad told him dangerously.

"Nick...What is your problem?Why are you threatening him?Vina is just angry.And you can't force him to divorce her",mom warned dad.

"I can and I will...He had forced her to marry him and there is no love between them.He only loves his daughter and now his grand daughter.And he is almost my age...I'm not giving my daughter to him..that's final",dad declared.

"Age is just a number, Nick.And I know my daughter very well...she loves him but right now she is just angry.And you out of all have no right to say that Mr.King should divorce Vina just because he forced her to marry him?"

"Are you supporting this man who ruined our daughter?"

"No...but I'm just stating the facts.Vina is in denial because she thinks that you will be hurt if she admits that she is still in love with him.Please ...it's their life..let them decide.You are unknowingly controlling Vina's life.And trust me...our daughter will marry anyone who you will point out without complaining, but let me tell you one thing Nick,she will be unhappy throughout her life living in a loveless marriage just for your sake.If you don't want our daughter to suffer,just give Mr.King a chance to sort out their differences.Please Nick",mom cajoled dad.

"Mom is right,dad.I have seen his love for Vina.And also Vina's love for him.She is just denying it.He had lived in pain all these years.Doesn't that show his love for her.I think he deserves a chance,dad.As her brother I too have a say in this dad",I supported mom.

"Are you questioning our dad's decisions?",Damien snapped at me angrily.

"No brother...I'm just concerned about Vina's future",I replied.

"No you don't love her...You want her to go back to that hellhole.I won't let her suffer...not anymore",he yelled at me.

"Damien...don't say things that you don't  mean.I love her more than anything.And you also know the extent to which I have gone to find my sister and bring her back.So please don't accuse me falsely about my intentions", I replied calmly.

"Damien...Dav is right...Actually all of them are right.They see both of us as villains here.And Lilah...you want me to give Mr.King a chance...then so be it",Dad said sarcastically.

"Mr.King ...you will do anything for my daughter's sake right",Dad asked David with a smirk.

"Yes Mr.Knight"...David replied honestly.

I knew that my dad was planning something evil to torture David.

"Dad...this is not right..you can't do this".

"Did I ask your suggestion..you can keep it to yourself".

"So Mr.David King,as you said you will do anything to win her back...So are you ready?".

"Yes anything.. Mr.Knight",David affirmed.

"So from today you will stay with us here in my mansion" ,he proposed.

"Yes I will.."David replied with a small smile.

"Damien...show him the servant's quarters",he ordered Damien.

"Dad..."I looked at him in disbelief.

"Nick...what are you up to?You can't mistreat a person to satisfy your ego",mom scolded him.

"But Mr.King said that he will go to any extent to win back my Vina",dad replied feigning innocence while Damien smirked at us.

"But dad...how can you make him stay at the servants quarters", I was disheartened by dad's decision .

"It's ok Ian ...I am ready to stay even in a stable if that  means I can have a glimpse of my angel every day",David said brushing off my opposition.

"Mr.Knight...thank you for giving me a chance to win her back,David thanked my dad while he and Damien were smiling wickedly ready to make his stay at our mansion memorable.
