"Are you done?" Chris asked in a bored tone as I finished writing my essay. I shot him a quick glare before writing down the final words on my paper. I put my pencil down and he sighed "Finally, any longer and I would've started growing grey hairs." He complained. I rolled my eyes "You can leave at any time. Nobody's holding you hostage, i***t," I replied. I got up and started to pack my belongings into my bag. To say I was tired of being around Christian is an understatement, The past two days have been absolute hell. He somehow convinced himself that I was jealous of his relationship with his very annoying girlfriend. He has even gone as far as moving his entire friend group closer to my table just to 'rub' his relationship in my face.
The only upside of the sudden shift in the area was that Jaden and Dylan had no problem table hopping without really bothering anyone. The obvious downside was me having to see the beloved girlfriend, Sophia, face in close proximity every school day at lunch. I haven't made any other friends yet and I promised my stupid brother that I wouldn't skip ditch without a good reason, So I was stuck. I walked out of the classroom and made my way towards the library. I glanced at my phone and turn the corner, Today I was going to spend my lunch period in the library. I looked back and sighed with relief when I noticed that Christian wasn't tailing me. I could finally be alone and not be bothered by that boy for at least thirty minutes. I opened the library door and immediately everyone's eyes were on me. But as quickly as I gained the attention I lost it when they realized that I was no one of importance. I smiled and walked towards the far corner of the library.
I sat down in one of the plush chairs and placed my bag down next to my feet. My butler fixed my lunch today; A ham sandwich, two bags of Cheetos, welches, and some fruit. I pulled my phone out of my bag along with my lunch and placed them both on my lap. I looked up and scanned the library and nothing seemed out of the ordinary. I smiled to myself and popped my earbuds in my ears and watched youtube videos as I ate. I occasionally checked my surroundings as I ate, It's been a while since I've had a peaceful lunch since I've been introduced to Christian and his entourage, No offense to Dylan or Jaden. My phone buzzed and I received a notification that said Henry texted me. A ghost smile played on my lips as I read the message.
I hope you enjoyed that darn sandwich

I giggled and packed my things into my bags as the lunch period came to an end. I kept my earbuds in and played music as I pushed the library door open. I made my way back to the designated empty class Principle Mae set up for us and waited for Christian to show so we could start working on the new assignment that awaits us. The door shot open and a frantic looking Christian stepped into the empty classroom. Dylan and Jaden came into view, Dylan sporting the same frantic expression, Jaden not so much. Their eyes landed on me and the worried look disappeared from their faces. "What?" I said confused. Suddenly Dylan sprinted in my direction with the biggest smile on his face. My eyes widen and I braced for impact, "BROOKE!" He exclaimed as his body collided with mine.
He was hugging me as if I nearly died or something. I returned the hug awkwardly and looked over at Jaden who wore an amused look on his face, "I told you she was fine. She just wanted space, not everyone wants to be around you all the time believe it or not." Jaden said to Christian who rolled his eyes. I stared at Jaden in awe when he said that and smiled at him "Seriously, I love you." I told him and he winked at me, "I thought you got kidnapped or something," Dylan mumbled and I scrunched up my face, "Who would want to kidnap me? Wait why kidnap?" I asked as I peeled him off of me. He shrugged and sat down in the seat right next to me,
"I don't know, I feel like you're a softie who'd fall for any guys charm and I worry about your safety." He said, Soft? Me? I raised my brows and heard Jaden chuckle as he sat down. "You clearly didn't learn your lesson the last time you called her soft," Jaden commented. "Please don't kick me," Dylan mumbled as he cupped his jewels. I rolled my eyes and looked over at Christian who didn't say a word much to my surprise. He looked slightly annoyed but that was it, I looked at Jaden who had his legs kicked up on the table in front of him and shrugged, "I mean if you're incapable of giving your future wife a baby, Just remember it's your fault because you couldn't stop calling Brooke soft." Jaden said.
Dylan scoffed and flipped Jaden his middle finger who in return laughed the exchange off. Dylan turned back to me with a serious but frightened look on his face as he spoke, "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to call you soft." I stared at him for a while before chuckling, "You're off the hook, for now." I said and he grinned at me. "So, are you going to Jaden's party Friday?" Dylan asked switching the topic. This seemed to have caught Christian's attention because he kind of perked up once the word party left Dylan's lips. I furrowed my brows and glanced at Jaden who shrugged. I smiled "Would you be offended if I don't go?" I asked him. He shook his head, "No, but I would be disappointed." He said.
"How about we take a vote, Those who want Brooke at the party Friday say 'I'," Dylan said. I rolled my eyes, "It's my decision to make, doofus." I said as I shook my head. Dylan shrugged and I heard Jaden say 'I'. Dylan looked me in my eyes and said the same thing. I rolled my eyes and laughed "That doesn't change anything," I told him.
"I" I heard Christian say. I looked at him and he shrugged, "Even if I decide to go, I don't even know where you live." I told Jaden who just shrugged again, "6670 Lanerope Road," He said nonchalantly. I chewed on my bottom lip and sighed "I'll think about it," I said and Dylan smiled "So you're going." He said and I shook my head " I said I'll think about it." I repeated and he chuckled "Whatever you say Brookey-Brooke."
