I could've graduated early but I chose not to.

I wanted the full highschool experience even as a nobody.

I stayed.

I knew that if I stayed I'd have to take college course classes, and I was okay with that.

What I didn't know was that I had to tutor this jackass also.

I want whoever is writing my story ... to stop.

Chapter One
Today is the first day of school ... Well the last first day of high school for me. Senior year, The year where you can kick back and relax while you wait to graduate right? Not for me. You see I'm trying to graduate college early by taking college-level classes in high school and since my school, Vine Lee High has so much room and the extra money they actually have classes for me to take to gain such credits. "Brooke, Can you hurry up? I have classes to get to." My brother mumbled with a hint of annoyance in his tone. I rolled my eyes then grabbed my small bag and my phone. "You're always rushing me," I said poking at his side. He shook his head "When you're in college you'll understand. Bye, Mom." He said kissing her on her head, "Bye guys, Be safe! Remember you're catching the school bus this afternoon Brooklyn." She said. "I know, Bye Mom," I said then ran after Henry who was already in his car. He got a flipping BMW for his nineteenth birthday, I don't remember the model because I don't really pay attention to cars but it's fancy, Really fancy. "You take forever." He said as I sat down. I shrugged and clicked on my seatbelt "You don't rush art." I said, "What's an art?" He asked confused as he backed out of our driveway "Walking." I simply say. He chuckled "You're such a weirdo." He mumbled and drove towards the school. "Why didn't you graduate with my class?" He asked and I shrugged "I want to graduate with my class and have the full high school experience, Besides ... I didn't want to leave Summer behind." I said. He shrugged "Okay." He said as he parked at the drop off area. "Be safe." I said getting out "I can handle myself." He said shooting me a wink before flexing his muscles, I rolled my eyes and laughed "Bye Henry." I said closing the door, "Later sis." He said and sped off. "Hi." Someone said from behind me and my eyes widen as I slowly turned around. I sighed in relief then glared at her "Summer!" I whisper-yelled. She smiled brightly at me "What?" She asked, "I almost went into cardiac arrest." I whined and she giggled "Sorry. I just really missed you." She said then gave me the tighten hug ever known to mankind ... Okay, maybe I am over exaggerating, But her hugs are killer. "Did you get your schedule?" She asked. I stared at her as if she lost her mind "I literally just got here and I know I have a couple of college classes and an elective." I said, "Jeez, No need to brag smarty pants." She said. I chuckled and shook my head before going up the stairs and into the school. "Can you believe that this year is our last year in high school?" She whispered excitedly. I smiled at this "Three years went by super fast." I agreed "I'm surprised you turned down the opportunity to graduate with the seniors from last year." She said as we made our way towards our homeroom class. I shrugged "Couldn't leave my best friend here on her own now can I?" I asked. This time she shrugged "I would've found some friends to hang with for a few months before I joined you in college." She said. "Right," I said. "I would." She said and I giggled, She really wouldn't have. She's not the social type, I mean ... I'm not either but I'm kind of better than her in a way when it came to that. We finally got to our homeroom class when the squeaky overhead beep twice. I rolled my eyes as I sat down. With all the money this school gets they couldn't fix the f*****g overhead. "Teachers and Students, Pardon the interruption. May Brooklyn McZander and Christian King report to the principals' office immediately. Thank you." The assistant principal said.  I felt a nudge and a poke on my side "What?" I whispered as I got up "What'd you do? It's only the first day." She whisper-yelled. I shrugged "It's probably a mistake." I said brushing it off. There was no way I was in trouble and even if I had gotten into any kind of trouble, Christian would be the last person I'd be in trouble with. I walked out of the class and was nearly ran over by Dylan and Christian who were to busy arguing to actually pay attention to their surroundings. Instead of saying anything I just walked behind them. Dylan looked back and smirked at me. "We're being followed, Chris." He said with a chuckle. I raised my brow but said nothing. Why would I? These two are literally the type of people your parents warn you about. They're the 'bad boys' of Vine Lee High, Why in the world would I start some trouble with them? Especially on my last year? "I'm kind of busy at the moment princess, I'm pretty sure you heard them call for me. I'll deal with you later." Chris said with a wink. I rolled my eyes and walked ahead of them both.  Chris was delusional if he thought I wanted him. "Where are you going princess? I didn't even give you a location yet!" He called after me. I sighed and walked into the front office. I almost made it past the lady at the front desk when Chris walked in. "How many times do I have to tell you guys to call me Chris instead of Christian?" He said, snapping at the poor woman at the desk. I shook my head and walked into the Principals office. "Ah, Brooke ... Have a seat." She smiled. Then looked at the shut door "Do you have any idea where Christian is?" She asked. I thought about him yelling at the lady at the front desk before I shrugged. "No, ma'am." I said, Obviously lying but she nodded and sighed "Sometimes I just don't know what to do with that boy." She mumbled. Just then the door opened and in came Chris with a small smirk on his face "Aunt Mae." He said kicking the door shut. Aunt who?!  "Chris take a seat." She said. He eyed the chair then looked at me, "Hey stalker girl." He smirks. "In your dreams," I mumbled loud enough for him to hear me. He chuckled and sat down, "So what's up?" He asked. Principal Mae cleared her throat. "I know that you two are currently holding the highest GPA in Vine Lee history." She started and I nearly choked on my spit when she said that. Chris? Christian King?! On my level? I guess I may have underestimated him ... a whole lot. "But you don't want to take any college classes right?" She asked Christian who just shrugged "I honestly don't want to but you won't stop talking about it." He said and Principal Mae smiled "I simply want whats best for you and that's why Brooklyn is here. She can work with you on a few classes since she is taking college courses herself." She offered. Chris looked over at me and laughed "What is she going to be? My tutor?" He laughed. I looked at the both of them confused before I placed my two cents on the table. "His tutor? I don't remember signing up for that." I said. The dude had a whole reputation to keep up with. The last thing I need is for him to hate me for bombarding him with my intelligence. "It's okay, I spoke to a few people and I changed both of you guys schedule. That way you guys cannot make up any excuses." She said handing us a blue paper. "You guys don't even have to meet outside of school, I'm that generous. Unless you guys decline the easy way." She added. I looked over my new schedule while chewing my bottom lip, nervous. Brooklyn McZander's Schedule Period 1: Free period Period 2: Yoga Period 3: Tutoring Christian Period 4: Dance Lunch Period 5: Tutoring Christian Period 6: Lit Comp   Period 7: Free Period I looked at the back then her, Back at the paper then her again. "Um ... So I will only have one college class." I asked a bit confused, She nodded "Technically Yes. The tutoring will count as college credits as well but they don't necessarily have to be in a classroom environment. We felt like you need to enjoy your high school life a little more before you start to stress yourself out over college work once you get there." She said and I nodded "Okay." I said. "You're dismissed." She smiled and Chris stood up behind me. "Go on Brooklyn." I heard him say. I rolled my eyes and stepped out of the office. I folded my schedule and made my towards the dance room.  This is my free period, It wouldn't hurt to dance a bit ... would it? I started to walk down the hall when someone caught my wrist. I looked back to find Chris holding my hand with a not so friendly look on his face, "Don't go bragging to your friends about tutoring me. This is between you and me. You meet me here before we head to our designated destination, I have a rep to keep up with and I don't need you f*****g things up." He said. I glared at him before replying "Got it. Now let me go." I said. He let go of my wrist then put his hands in his pocket and walked away. I rolled my eyes at his retreating figure before I made my way towards the dance room. "I have a rep to keep up with and I don't need you f*****g things up. Grow up." I mumbled under my breath. I placed my bag down and connected my phone to the Bluetooth speaker on the floor. I changed into my sweats and a sports bra then pulled my hair up into a messy ponytail before blasting Dua Lipa on the speakers. This year is going to be a long one ... I can feel it.
