Sawyer sat quietly in bed reading in the morning, in an attempt to avoid waking Elizabeth. He still didn’t want to leave her alone, but he didn’t want to wake her up either. He was paying particular attention to how the fresh wounds looked, aware that they still needed dressing properly.
