Elizabeth was sleeping soundly by the time they arrived where Sawyer had decided to go with her. He considered waking her but decided it would be easier for her if she was well rested. He also knew that she was not going to be happy with him when she woke up, because he had hidden the truth about where he was taking her. Her head was resting against the window and her breath was fogging up the glass each time she exhaled. He watched her for a while, because he had nothing else to do and he didn’t want to leave her to wake up alone in the car and realise where they were. She would probably freak out about it even with him there beside her. He tore his eyes away from her to look outside, but it just made him feel guilty and he reached instinctively to hold her hand.
