Two weeks later
It’s Saturday again, and to my surprise, when I went to pick the kids up at Mia’s, they both informed me that they wanted to sleep over at my house again. I wish Mia had given me a heads-up, but she explained that they insisted on her letting them tell me. I understand, but I could have acted surprised, though Kira probably would have given it away. It doesn’t matter; what matters is that both Kenzie and Eli are eager to come for another sleepover at my house again. Kenzie has brought Ry with her, so hopefully, we’ll have success tonight.
