Chapter Twenty-Two Unwelcome Visitors Anne looked over the woman’s shoulder and, not seeing anyone else there, stood back to let her into the hall. “The phone’s here on the table,” Anne said. “That’s really kind of you. Thank you so much.” Anne noticed that the woman spoke with a pronounced Irish accent and her skin, like most red heads was pale, but very freckled.
