Anna pov

"Where's your leash? Fluffy?" Where did I put it? I have to find it before Lucas arrives. It's been two months since we've been together and I can say that they are the best in my life. This man has already managed to get into my life and bring the ups and downs. It has made me work to deal with my insecurities, my reluctance to trust others, and to be able to open my heart again without fear of being hurt. Fluffy also played a role in this. This little guy, from the first moment I looked at him, entered my heart. And he loved me without interest, like all dogs. They will love you if you give them love without looking at your flaws. These two men in my life made me come out of my shell and look at me with different eyes. Today is Friday, and we have arranged to go on a trip. Lucas and I took a break to leave early. We are going to Chicago. I have never been, so we decided to go where it is nearby. We had three days, so we did not want to go somewhere far away and be on the road for a long time. And we have to take Fluffy with us, and so we said for somewhere close so that it suffers either neither he nor we. Aaagr, where is this leash? I've been looking for it for half an hour now. “So yesterday, we entered the house from the walk. I took it out and left it near the entrance. Where the hell is this thing?”

"Shall we go? He is not waiting another minute " he looks at me, smiles at me, takes my suitcase and soft bag, and leaves.

"Let's go fluffy," he says, and I go out to lock the door. ..........

We've been on the road for an hour now, fluffy is asleep in the back seat, and Lucas and I are talking about different things. Mainly that every day Eliza comes and picks up the children from school. And every day, she tries to convince me to go to dinner with their parents.

"Honey, I told you when you are ready. Ignore Eliza. She already likes you, like my parents. And she is in a hurry to dress me as a groom. Do not stress. I am not going to force you, and you know it. Right?" Eliza never bothered me. I understand her. Her brother is old enough to get married. Lucas has told me that he is ready for a family. The truth is that I always wanted to start a family. From a young age, I saw how much my parents loved me and how much I loved them. I wanted to live it too. But after meeting Sam, I lost hope of a happy marriage with children. I didn’t like the children to experience the behavior and abuse that I experienced. In the beginning, everything was perfect, I was in love, and I did not see the signs. Then he began to become more jealous, more possessive in the bad sense. I quit my job because he did not want me to have contact with my male colleagues. I stayed at his house, and every day something bothered him and broke out on me. No one could do anything because he was the sheriff's son. After a while, a colleague from school approached me, and I hoped she was fine and arranged everything secretly so that I could leave. She found me a new job and gave me some money to get started. She asked me at the beginning not to contact her for security reasons, and so I did. I owe my new life to her.

So after Sam, I had lost all hope. My self-esteem had dropped. I was reluctant to approach and trust others. And as for a relationship, I did not even think about it. Everything changed when Lucas found a small hole and entered my life and heart. And yes, with him, I started thinking of a new life in a house with a garden with our kids and fluffy playing.

I grab him by the arms and hold him tight. He likes it. I have told him that his strong arms are one of my favorite parts of his body, so every time I catch them, he wants it. We stopped kissing, and he looked at me, leaning on my forehead with his.

"I hope they like me since I'm not ....."
