Chapter XL Losing Nick KAISER opened his eyes warily when he felt that someone was staring at him in his sleep. He saw a silhouette right in front of him but the blurriness of his sleepy eyes and the dark night made him unable to make sense who it was. He tried to clutch on something hard from the bedside table, but he couldn’t touch on anything. “It's me, Kaiser,” he heard Nick’s voice and that calmed him. Slowly, his eyes had adjusted in the dark and he had already made sense of the figure. The moonlight shone on a part of her face, reflecting her sky-like eyes.  “I have to tell you something,” Nick whispered. “Personally, if you may.” Kaiser nodded at the dark.
