Chapter Six
It was impossible to ignore the way the noble ladies looked at us. They clearly thought we weren't worth their time, though none of them would outright say it. I supposed that made sense. They were brought up to be polite and dignified, and we were here encroaching on their territory.
I resisted the urge to step closer to Rosemary. In this situation, there probably wasn't much safety in numbers. Especially not when there were only two of us.
"What is she doing here?" The woman turned up her nose as she looked down on me. I wasn't sure why I was being singled out when Rosemary came from non-noble stock too.
"They say she has Silver Blood," the one to her left responded.
